live arena may be flawed and I'm all for improving it but removing it from the game seems a dreadful idea - no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Plarium hasnt demonstrated to me that they understand player concerns with LA or that they have the technical skills to make it functional. They can remove it and replace it with an existing app. More and more players are avoiding it so why waste resources?
Plarium wont tell us the participation rate if LA is removed from daily missions. We have no data. I am willing to give up 130 energy per day to avoid LA. That is how much I dislike it.
I don't think the energy is the big loss. To me it's the primals, relic mats from seasonal and area bonuses.
I find the inferences people make without data fascinating. 🤔
Assuming the roughly ~150 people in my cluster represent a typical breakdown of the playerbase as a whole:
More than 75% don't do live arena at all. A few did only enough to get horsey and havent done so much as a battle since. Maybe 15% of us go for the 5 wins a day.
One dude likes live arena. ONE. Everyone else hates it. Most of them hate it so much they would rather give up getting dailys completed and forfeit the energy than bother doing 3 matches.

It seems to me that your cluster cannot be representative. If it was truly as universally disliked by late/end game players as you infer: "Most of them hate it so much they would rather give up getting dailys completed and forfeit the energy than bother doing 3 matches.", then even Plarium would have to admit it was a failure and they'd do something different with it.
I am assuming here that the majoirty of your 150 person sample are late/end game players, but that may or may not be accurate. For players that are early/mid game, I can see it being quite different, and IMO, Plarium opens LA to players too early in their progression, and then LA becomes a pain point becasue they get pummeled and then become disillusioned....but that could be fixed by pushing back the level at which LA opens.
There are players that dislike all PVP components of the game, and nothing is going to get those players to like LA; however, of the players that genuinely enjoy PVP, I imagine that quite a few of them enjoy LA enough to do it. My biggest complaint about LA is the same as my biggest complaint about Raid as a whole: Time.
I typed up a long response, but then deleted it. I don;t want to derail this thread into yet another 'LA is a dismal failure' thread, and there really nothing I have to say I haven;t already said in 4 of those other threads.
So let's bring it back to QOL wishlist items:
I would really love to see some indicator on the champ selection thumbnails to show whether they're full-geared or not. Such a PITA failing a run because you forgot to put pieces back onto a champ that you borrowed for FW hard or sin city or whichever.
It'd be extra amazing if there were some sort of 'undo fitting room' feature. Like I gear a champ using pieces off of 5 different champs. Do the run, then go back into the inventory interface and click a single 'reverse' button to put those pieces back where I got them.

A "borrow" feature would be cool.
