I am in no way saying that is (or will be) advisabe to use Titus for Mega Damage on Chimera at the expense of hitting more Trials.  I am saying:

(1) People are going to do it, and they are gonna do it a lot.

(2) And, beating the dead horse in this thread: It is idiotic to introduce another toon that allows the creation of an abusable shield comp that will destabilize the status quo of Hydra Clash so much that Plarium will eventually be forced to do something about it.

I agree with #1 💯

As for #2, the status quo was hydra was dead content imo. Trunda or go home was stupid. Whether this revives it for many idk.  Ill stay in auto mode with or without the fusion.

Hydra Clash is one of the best sources of Primals & Mythical Books, so I certainly consider Hydra Clash to be very relevant content, and my clan takes a chest about 2/3 of the time.

Dead content is probably not best way to describe it, obviously relevant. I certainly participate. CB is still important/relevant but also dead to me in terms of actively trying to improve.

Only thing that matters for clash is ability to create variance (tank...). These changes are going to make it way worse for lesser clans. The initial excitement of getting high scores will soon be replaced with endless threads about hydra matchmaking. The most organized clans will be dropping 10 to 20 "trunda bombs" 3x a month on last day and tanking when needed.  The average clan will coast at same level and be lucky to grab 3rd once a month.

I have a clanmate who subbed Titus in as the damage dealer in a Wixwell  Shield Team. Did 1.55B on UNM. 😂

There were a couple of regular posters concerned after the Wixwell Nerf that their clanmates or clustermates wouldn't be able to bring down UNM every day....

Well, Titus to the rescue....

Pretty sure it was one or both of you:

My concern right now is that Wixwell is gonna get nerfed hard because of Titus, and my less-progressed clustermates wont be able to do demonlord. One of them spend $$$ to get Wix during a boosted summons, and then struggled for about 2 months to build and gear the team. If they were to remove shield growth altogether he'd be *maybe* 4-keying UNM

Yeah, my quick swap is now at 250m unm, 800m nm. Fun times.

no arguments and it's something that's been conveyed by basically the entirety of the mod team, several times

Ok, I know it sounds crazy to complain about a Titus bug but I did run into one tonight

i

Gnut (on the right) took his turn with no buffs and Titus's A3 Passive didn't happen. THEN when I tried to use the A2 on Titus (in the SS it's his turn) he cast the 3 buffs on Gnut first then attacked... It says its supposed to happen at the end of the Ally turn tho?

i

See Gnut got the 3 buffs, took his turn and did his A2 for the counterattack...

It reminds me of Amius glitch/timing, how Amius counterattack from you getting a Skill Cooldown doesn't happen UNTIL you try to take your turn

SO, there's just no way there isn't going to be a nerf, and soon.

We've been figuring it'll be a nerf to wixwell's grow shields, but Bronko just posted a vid showing you can have Titus do his own infinite shield growth with a bloodshield accessory and buff extenders, cooldown reducers, or both.

If plarium sticks to their word that Titus wont be nerfed, then 2 possible solutions would be to give hydra and chimera and unresistable shield-strip, even for protected shields, or to set an absolute per-hit damage cap, which would also stop hydra trunda teams from "working as intended" being broken.

And *maybe* after the 4th nerf they'll learn to stop giving new champs damage that scales with shields... but I wouldn't bet on it.

edit: oh, a 3rd option would be to set an absolute maximum size on shields, the way they already limited wixwells shieldgrowth to a cap of 1m. But given the damage numbers we've been seeing from titus with that cap already in place, they'd likely have to cut it down to 250k, maybe even less.

Joke memes aside, I don't see Wixwell as the problem here, not if Titus can grow his own shield ftom a bloodshield ring.

But if Wix as a community designed champ is gonna get blamed and nerf'd (again), I can make a Batmaneater or Hellcat team, so Titus's OP shield interaction isn't going to cause me to quit, it will suck, but not game-ending.

For note: I use Fyna, Wix, Corvis, Lady Mikage and Geo for most DL, get about 280-350 million, but swap Geo out for Corpulent Cadaver for the "use a rare" quest.  "CC" does about 100 million in those runs, which puts me in the middle of non-Titus Wix comps.  Not bad, not game breaking since CC and Wix have both been capped.

Titus's design is the completely-out-of-scale problem imho.

I have two clanmates that have already built Titus for Hydra. One of them did 1.73B on NM and the other did 2.93B.

Tin foil hat alert: does anyone think that Titus was deliberately designed to give devs an excuse to pull the plug on Wix as the actual aim?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'll ask

historically speaking plarium hasn't needed much of an excuse to make unpopular decisions (or indecisions) with PvE related nerfs

that said, wixwell was a nonfactor/quite meh for some time now, until Titus rolled up. if they wanted to send Wixwell further into the dirt before, they could've easily done so at any time

I agree personally, and I was a bit surprised in my cluster at the vehement ire directed at Wix in all forms of CB due to the busted teams that use Wix.  Idk, I'd rather they don't nerf Wix, but just course correct Titus.

The problem with that is when people immediately pointed out that Titus would be broken, the devs *emphatically* stated that it was intended and Titus wouldn't be nerfed

Which means there HAS to be a different nerf instead.

Why does everyone think a nerf is inevitable?

All the Titus teams I see can't do any trials for chimera?

If they unnerf Wixwell, Emic, Corp Cadaver and...I'm certain there was one more, then I'll stop assuming there will be a titus nerf. :P

edit: Also taunt for hydra
