Well most of the problems I mentioned are agreed to be negative. Some people just have some... Opinions they'd like everyone to know about.

Opinions aren't a BAD thing, they're generally a good thing that allow people to get better perspectives and understandings.

They problem is the manner in which they are conveyed often here.

If the original commenter who started this childish back-and-forth (of which I also take part of course) had said "well imo the amount from the tournament definitely wasn't too much, like it'd still take a decent while to progress far as a newbie" then I would've probably responded differently.

The more hateful tone they actually used made me a lot less likely to consider their opinion.

Unfortunately many people on here - including myself at times - will say their opinions as if they are fact - and then try to find any way possible to defend them - regardless of how ridiculous it gets or how many times they're proven wrong.

With regards to the matchmaking idea you suggested in your previous comment, I unfortunately think matchmaking is kinda too complicated for any small simple set of rules to govern properly.

"Back in my day", matchmaking was based almost exclusively off XP, which didn't allow easy tanking but came with some significant drawbacks, as is why it was changed.

Gasp! Could it be I see signs of this (cough.. cough) captivating off-shoot discussion finally coming to an end? ;-)

Judging from their (Plarium) post on the main page, I'd say they aren't going to fix what is making everyone mad. Horrible matchmaking, terrible tournament rewards, and overpowered bots.

I like this game and don't wanna see it fade away, so the best advice I can give the developers would be "Develop it as if you were a player rather than a developer."

I don't like the most of the changes to the tournament. Not all of them are bad like capping battles at 8 a day. That makes sense for everyone to play the same amount of game. I also really have no complaints about a-coins and credit payouts either. My biggest issue is being so reliant on team wins in a scoring system that ends up making everyone out for themselves.  I don't have a solution but it's a big enough problem that it has changed mech arena from a 5 star game to a 3 star.  Because at least for me tournament is what I played most.

Yea F#@ THAT. I know it'll just be harder on me, but I would rather grind through the losses and not make any headway on climbing ranks, then sp drop or tank. The only exception to sp dropping is when I want to use a weapon in my inventory that's not as upgraded. That's it. That bs with tanking especially is ridiculous, when you have mates that rely on you. (Assuming of course they're playing at their best and not just using you for fodder...)
