Rebalance Announcement: Wave 2

🛠️ Major Game Balance Update Continues: Wave 2 Details Revealed!

We are continuing to roll out the planned four-stage rebalance and it’s time for the second phase. After carefully analysing the results from Wave 1, the next set of changes will go live in two weeks.

As promised in our original November announcement, this rebalance continues to prioritize buffs to make a wider array of content competitively viable, while applying careful adjustments to overperforming content.

📆 When?

The second stage of the rebalance will take place 14 days from today, on the 12th of January.

🛠️ What?

Two Mechs will be nerfed:

  • Eclipse: Phase Cloak Duration (12s → 10s), Ability Cooldown (8s → 9s)

Dev Note: Eclipse managed to dodge our radar for a long time thanks to its stealth ability. But we’ve spotted it now, and we don’t plan on losing sight of it again ;) Eclipse is an awesome mech that we all love, but the amount of time it spends in stealth is a bit much. We aren't touching its other stats, but we want to make using stealth feel more tactical, rewarding, and situational rather than just a routine habit.

  • Surge: Ability Duration (4s → 3s), Stealth Buff Duration (5s → 2.5s)

Dev Note: Surge has been one of the undisputed kings of the meta for a long time now. But even kings lose their grip on power eventually :) We love this agile little guy, but its mischief goes unpunished far too often. We want the decision to dash into an enemy - or a whole group of them - to be more calculated. Reckless moves made in the heat of the moment should come with actual consequences!

Four pieces of content will be buffed:

  • Oracle: Drone Magazine (39 → 45), Optimal Range (0-55m → 0-80m)

Dev Note: Oracle is a great weapon with a really interesting mechanics, especially when paired with certain mechs. Yes, Gatecrasher and Volti, I’m looking at you ;) However, in the current meta, it’s hard to compete for player attention - even if you can see through walls. That’s why we’re shifting the point where Oracle’s damage ramp-up kicks in to an earlier stage. We’re also increasing its effective range, meaning it will now deal even more damage up to 80m!

  • Dreadshot: Damage (+63%), Optimal Range (0-70m → 0-100m)

Dev Note: Dreadshot, our reliable and slightly heavy-footed friend! We love the sheer impact of firing this weapon so much that we want as many people as possible to experience it! To give you a real reason to keep it in your Hangar and bring it into battle, we’re giving it a boost to direct damage. We’re also slightly increasing its optimal range, which won't just make it more effective, but much more comfortable to use.

  • Volti: Ability Cooldown (12s > 13s), Aiming Timeout (2s > 1s)

Dev Note: Volti is a classic case where we have to be extremely careful with balance, as its ability is essentially 'free damage' - the kind of damage you deal without fear of retaliation :) While we’re eager to make this lord of lightning more effective and user-friendly, we do have to slightly increase its cooldown. You won’t feel it much in the heat of battle, but it gives us the room to make Volti’s targeting twice as effective! Now it’ll be even harder for your enemies to hide, and finishing off opponents as they duck behind cover will feel better than ever. Just make sure to pick the right weapons to complement those lightning strikes!

  • Hornet: Venom Damage (+8%), Venom Duration (3s → 2s), Venom Application Speed (+90%)

Dev Note: We admit that the situation with Hornet hasn't been ideal. It’s a solid weapon that feels good to fire, but we want it to be even better. We believe the core improvements should focus on its status effects so that Hornet plays exactly how we originally intended: a peek-a-boo style from behind cover, relying heavily on DOT (Damage Over Time). Applying DOT - and more importantly, re-applying it (!) - is now much smoother, as it won't interfere with one another as much due to duration overlaps. The overall damage cycle is now more effective and satisfying, so everyone will have to take you seriously if you’ve got a Hornet in your Hangar!

I personally think that we should get compensation for these mechs do you have any idea how long it takes to save up for these mechs? I'm a p2w and even with the purchase of like 3,000 a coins it still takes 2+ months to save up for them we need some sought of compensation. Also I think the hornet buff is barely a buff who need extra venom damage? I think we need more damage for them in general I have used hornets and they have barely any damage output

You bastards, you ruined the whole game!!! I paid for these 2 robots for some setups, and now I automatically get others that I don't want!! Everything was planned from the very beginning to pump up the robots and weapons so that they could be bought and then later scrapped!! You lowly cheaters!!

Lol at everyone who are whining because they paid for something and think it should be unfairly strong. If these changes ruin your mech, you are a poor player. Some of the rest of us paid money too, only to play against unfairly strong mechs or we bought scrappy weapons that sounded good.

Overall, the Surge and Eclipse needs are good. They should not destroy these mechs, but do give other players a modestly increased chance against them. Really, is it fair for Surge emp to be 4 seconds? If Zephyr initiates at the same time, Surge gets a second advantage? Save versus Bastion. The invisibility was also too long. Same for Eclipse. People were able to play both mechs sloppily. Now they'll need more skill.

Weapon buffs good, except it seems like Dreadshot may be a superior weapon now, on paper.

I bet your hanger is like 5k power so thars why you don't care


And zephyr is an epic mech, surge is a legendary mech so of course it should have more emp and be better, that's the point of legendary things for them to be more powerful, what's the point of a game if legendary stuff is the same level as epic

I wish you would return the basic 2v2 match bc i and a lot of people dont like the new 2v2 and those who play before it got chainged all agree that that was better bc it was then up to skill and how well your mech was upgrated.

Sooo if you could please return the basic 2v2

Surge nerf is a bit too much. This isnt balancing. Its killing the mech. 4s stun duration is perfect spot for any stun mech in this game rn. 3s is too less. Cant kill anything. Surge cant even kill its nomad anymore, which should get naturally countered by surge. The stun duration should stay the same, stealth or ability cd could take some nerfs. Or atleast keep it 3.5 secs. Stealth 3.5 sec. And +1 cd. This seems enough of a nerf. What you guys are doing is too much. Please reconsider.

Si l'équilibre est votre priorité ce n'est pas la peine de nous faire acheter des mechs plus performants qui ceci dit ne sont pas donnés. Nous avons acheter des "prestations de mechs " et nous aimerions les conservés. Je pense qu'il faut avertir les joueurs que leur achat ne correspondra plus à leur attente de performances de mechs. Quand j'ai acheté surge et éclipse je n'était pas au courant qu'ils allaient etre diminuer de leurs performances. Reconsidérer votre décision serait honnete et justifiée.

we bought them for theirs caracteristics. they belong to us not to you anymore. you  bought Surge or what it was qnd you have no right or give my money back. spend more time and money to upgrade your severs and to corrects these bugs and others problems who are ruining parties

The more I read the Surge nerf the less I can believe it, you've killed the mech completely, whats the point in all tiers of mech being equal? Legendary status means nothing now. I want my money and A-Coins back.

That's why I don't spend money on the Plarium game. They don't know what real balancing is, they go around nerfing things that don't need nerfing, they release the Burrow Beam weapon really strong just to nerf it later, lol, making fools of people and wasting their money. You guys are shameless in Plarium.👎👎

Same, Ive had hemlock and surge for 2 years and finally maxed them out in October, spent alot of a coins and credits, now they are both pointless mech and shouldn't even be classed as legendary, surge was already easy to kill but now literally any mech will be able to kill it and it won't be able to counter anything, non of these nerfs needed to happen, legendary things mean nothing now

I totally agree. We spent a lot of money on these mechs, so are we getting a partial refund too!!!

Exactly my thoughts. I will stop playing this game if you touch anything and I am one of the original players. Stop taking our money and nurf your price so most players can afford it. Mic 🎤 drop

Hey! Don't forget Eclipse can still be seen in it's ability, it can still take damage if you fire in it's direction and that is not phaze cloak, itshould be entirely invisible, go through walls, and take zero damage along with self repair. Don't nerf it, it was already worthy of just Uncommon if you ask me. If you nerf it, send it back to the first tier for A-coins becuase it's ability is at least worth more than Lancer's with the undetectibility, debuff imunity, and speed boost.

на счет вольти, я категорически против ,в захвате точек он и так мочит всю мою команду не отходя от своего респауна. Сделайте расстояние его уменя меньше , сделайте меньше урон от умения , сделайте так чтобы дрон вольти не наносил урон когда над тобой потолок и через купол аэгиса , иначе  это выглядит  как то натянуто , когда над тобой потолок и вдруг появляется на тобой дрон вольти. Сделайте его умение реалистичным . А еще уберите у ОРИОНА И ХЕМЛОКА захват цели умения ,так нечестно ,у ГЕЙТРАШЕРА нет захвата цели ,и попасть его уменим во врага требует тщательного прицеливания , это будет справедливо.

You must be a very weak player if you declare rhe Hemlick change and the coming Surge change make them pointless. These claims make no sense. So you'll have to modify your gameplay slightly. Skill will become more important. Everyone knows Surge is unfairly strong. This change will move the needle about 10%.
