Rebalance Announcement: Wave 2

🛠️ Major Game Balance Update Continues: Wave 2 Details Revealed!

We are continuing to roll out the planned four-stage rebalance and it’s time for the second phase. After carefully analysing the results from Wave 1, the next set of changes will go live in two weeks.

As promised in our original November announcement, this rebalance continues to prioritize buffs to make a wider array of content competitively viable, while applying careful adjustments to overperforming content.

📆 When?

The second stage of the rebalance will take place 14 days from today, on the 12th of January.

🛠️ What?

Two Mechs will be nerfed:

  • Eclipse: Phase Cloak Duration (12s → 10s), Ability Cooldown (8s → 9s)

Dev Note: Eclipse managed to dodge our radar for a long time thanks to its stealth ability. But we’ve spotted it now, and we don’t plan on losing sight of it again ;) Eclipse is an awesome mech that we all love, but the amount of time it spends in stealth is a bit much. We aren't touching its other stats, but we want to make using stealth feel more tactical, rewarding, and situational rather than just a routine habit.

  • Surge: Ability Duration (4s → 3s), Stealth Buff Duration (5s → 2.5s)

Dev Note: Surge has been one of the undisputed kings of the meta for a long time now. But even kings lose their grip on power eventually :) We love this agile little guy, but its mischief goes unpunished far too often. We want the decision to dash into an enemy - or a whole group of them - to be more calculated. Reckless moves made in the heat of the moment should come with actual consequences!

Four pieces of content will be buffed:

  • Oracle: Drone Magazine (39 → 45), Optimal Range (0-55m → 0-80m)

Dev Note: Oracle is a great weapon with a really interesting mechanics, especially when paired with certain mechs. Yes, Gatecrasher and Volti, I’m looking at you ;) However, in the current meta, it’s hard to compete for player attention - even if you can see through walls. That’s why we’re shifting the point where Oracle’s damage ramp-up kicks in to an earlier stage. We’re also increasing its effective range, meaning it will now deal even more damage up to 80m!

  • Dreadshot: Damage (+63%), Optimal Range (0-70m → 0-100m)

Dev Note: Dreadshot, our reliable and slightly heavy-footed friend! We love the sheer impact of firing this weapon so much that we want as many people as possible to experience it! To give you a real reason to keep it in your Hangar and bring it into battle, we’re giving it a boost to direct damage. We’re also slightly increasing its optimal range, which won't just make it more effective, but much more comfortable to use.

  • Volti: Ability Cooldown (12s > 13s), Aiming Timeout (2s > 1s)

Dev Note: Volti is a classic case where we have to be extremely careful with balance, as its ability is essentially 'free damage' - the kind of damage you deal without fear of retaliation :) While we’re eager to make this lord of lightning more effective and user-friendly, we do have to slightly increase its cooldown. You won’t feel it much in the heat of battle, but it gives us the room to make Volti’s targeting twice as effective! Now it’ll be even harder for your enemies to hide, and finishing off opponents as they duck behind cover will feel better than ever. Just make sure to pick the right weapons to complement those lightning strikes!

  • Hornet: Venom Damage (+8%), Venom Duration (3s → 2s), Venom Application Speed (+90%)

Dev Note: We admit that the situation with Hornet hasn't been ideal. It’s a solid weapon that feels good to fire, but we want it to be even better. We believe the core improvements should focus on its status effects so that Hornet plays exactly how we originally intended: a peek-a-boo style from behind cover, relying heavily on DOT (Damage Over Time). Applying DOT - and more importantly, re-applying it (!) - is now much smoother, as it won't interfere with one another as much due to duration overlaps. The overall damage cycle is now more effective and satisfying, so everyone will have to take you seriously if you’ve got a Hornet in your Hangar!

So, you are nerfing things we had to purchase?  This seems like i'm not getting what I paid for and is a bit unscrupulous.  Charging people for items and then nerfing them?  Seems like you owe those who bought these with the expectation of their stats something in return.  It's like buying a car, and then removing it's horsepower after you paid for it.

I just bought Surge, pretty expensive I'll say, and I'm heavily dissapointed that for what happened to Surge, I get the emp stun but against large mechs it's hard to keep up even with it's current stats before nerf, and the stealth being nerfed to 2.5? If I can't even get some firepower at least let me slip away with a little more ease rather than being one shotted by my competition, at least let it increase every upgrade, putting information on a mechs ability only for it to never change every upgrade is completely useless! But for the minimum make it easier to get A-coins and add a way to be with people who are more your level so we can use our brains rather than hide the entire battle all cause of some maxed out eclipse smacking me with a revoker every time I spawn.

Plarium, I think you should give players who bought eclipse, surge, or volti a refund option or a couple thousand acoins per mech

Great updates. This really will add balance and party in the arena. For these reasons alone I don't use Surge or Eclipse often. It feels a little unfair and less strategic to others. However, once I notice 2+ Surge(s) on an opposing squad, I engage my Blockhorn with maxed out Revoker 16s. This quickly evens the playing field for duration of the battle.

After all it's about fun. :)

Plarium, this is a very good idea, because it will finally create balance between donators and regular players.
However, Volti’s ability damage is too high. It should be reduced. In Showdown mode, if Volti uses the ability just twice, it can destroy almost any mech. Because of this, players using Volti can win too easily, even without much skill.

Plarium, could you please reduce the prices of legendary mechs? For non-donator players, it is very difficult to obtain them. It usually takes one month or even one and a half months to collect enough resources. Because of this, progress feels too slow. Lowering the prices would make the game more fair and enjoyable for regular players.

Wow you are literally destroying the game completely, the only things that should of ever been nerfed were revokers and stormracks, nothing else, now it's going to be impossible to counter deathwaker with stormracks, surge was the only good counter for it, surge should of been buffed not nerfed

After a long struggle and hours of playing and spending i got both surge and eclipse, but now your nerfing it . It is outrageous. Give us compensate or coupons worth equaly to the mech value. We need refund of the a coins we spend . Give us compensation.

This is very good update, as I am playing this game from many years, I have seen that most of the people use surge and eclipse because they are most powerful, specially surge, its ability contains 3 powers, his dash, emp effect and stealth,  in front of its power other mech are useless, plarium should also remove 1 of its power or decrease its emp effect duration to 2 sec and decrease its dash area to 25 m. Also, I want to talk about tengu mech, as it is a rare mech of tier 4, but its max hp is more than the epic mechs like killshot and panther, which are of tier 6, also tengu ability contains 3 powers, damage,  slealth and freeze, these 3 power make tengu immortal in arena, as it kills all the other mechs easily. I want to make humble appeal to plarium that there should be changes in the tengu mech, its hp should be decreased and its freeze power should be removed and damage delt is also decrease. Hope you will understand this issue and do research on it, and make further changes,  hope my review helps in fair gameplay in the arena. Thankyou.

Das ist eine riesen FRECHHEIT...zuerst nehmt ihr unser sauer verdientes Geld und steckt es euch in die Taschen und dann stehlt ihr uns auch noch die paar Cent die uns übrigbleiben....WAS SOLL DAS???So etwas habe ich noch nie wo erlebt...wie könnt ihr euch noch im Spiegel ansehen...ist ja nicht so ,das es günstige Einkäufe wären, für ein paar euro...nein,wir haben hunderte und aberhunderte EUROS investiert und jetzt entwertet ihr sie einfach....und was ist mit COMPENSATION.?!?Seid ihr euch eigentlich dessen bewußt,daß es sich hier um DIEBSTAHL handelt?!?Ihr  beschneidet einfach  unser konto!!!wo ist der Ausgleich für uns..?ihr  benachteiligt uns  gegenüber denen die euch kein geld in den Rachen warfen.und das einzige das wir bekommen ist ein arschtritt und vlt. eine  3mail...hoffe ihr denkt icht das wir noch einen Cent in dieses betrüveris he Spiel stecken...werde mal nachprüfen wie und wo man euch melden kann,den wenn ihr schon freiwillig nichts regelt dann wird man andere dafür warnen sich diese räuberhöhle ru terzuladen oder Geld zu investieren!!,

I am deeply dissatisfied with the unilateral weakening of paid weapons under the pretext of balance adjustments. When consumers spend money to acquire an item, only to see its performance suddenly reduced, it feels deceptive and close to a breach of trust.

A recent example illustrates this clearly: the existing weapon Revoker was nerfed, while the newly released Burrow Beam was introduced with overwhelming power that surpasses any other weapon. This practice disadvantages long-time players while simultaneously driving new sales, which appears unfair and exploitative.

Moreover, it is hard to dismiss the possibility that Burrow Beam itself will eventually be nerfed once sufficient sales have been achieved. Such recurring patterns severely damage consumer trust.

Therefore, the developer should provide appropriate compensation for nerfed weapons and adopt a more cautious approach when altering the performance of paid items. This issue goes beyond simple player dissatisfaction—it directly concerns the protection of consumer rights.

I have just spent a bunch of real money on both eclipse and surge. Both require more skill than emp freaks and spray to play. How will I be compensated? There are a lot of money sinks in this game, damn this is absolute gingivitis!!!

Surge yetenek bekleme ve yetenek süresi şuan için bence gayet yeterli.Eclipse bekleme süresi düşürülebilir ama bunun için oyunculara verebileceğiniz birşeyler de olmalı.Bir de revorker silahına bir çözüm bulun lütfen!Hasarı çok fazla,modları bile görmezden geliyor..

Couldn't agree more. Surge is also very difficult to upgrade/get blueprints for as well. A lot of time and effort is invested along with $
