Saying the gear is fine because it becomes not OP at higher levels is like telling someone that a narrative based TV show gets good in the 2nd season. Oh yeah that's all fine and good but just 1 problem I have to sit through the first season and I don't want to do that.

And sure you got to 7k sp in 3 months but depending on how you like to play that could take longer. I'd been playing for a few months or so on my veteran account now but because I like to experiment I've gone from maybe 3k sp to approximately 4.5k and I also don't play every day despite this game constantly trying to FOMO me into it which has also slowed down my progress. And I even go on long hiatuses from playing becauseI get fed up with the inbalanced gameplay and the staff and the ignorant complacent community the META can shift a lot relative to the progress I make. You need to play every day and with a strict upgrade plan to get to 7k in that time frame of 3 months.

Yeah I played alot when I started, I was over 10k by the end of the first year, I just copied good players and went for builds they had, I play alot less now cos I'm maxed everything, I don't hardly spend resources anymore either, I've got like 100k acoins and 15mil credits, nothing to spend them on really becausey hangers are fine how they are

Hey bro, u r being disrespectful towards low SP players! Having a maxed Hangar doesn't negate the problems of Gemini's crazy damage we have to tank through in our battles. Gemini is weak against ML mods due to it's low ammo count  (common in most sniper weapons) and not due to its damage. In low SP matches we do not expect a maxed Perimeter ML mod on a mech (even if its cheap to max them out on a common/uncommon mech), like there are players who only use 1 mod or even some mechs in low SP have mechs with no mods on it, and for such mechs with 1 or 0 mods; Gemini spammers will teach how to spam the entire game. How can you neglect feedback of all of these players who constitute almost 60-70% of the game, acting like a self-centered person who cares only about themselves

You got me all wrong, I'm basically saying, the start of the game when your low hangers, is what we all experienced, things felt over powered years back, seekers, surges, eclipse, killshot, nomads, helix racks, disc launchers, embers and fragments guns, arc torrents, etc etc, they all killed us really easy and we hated facing them, but the point is you work hard, save resources and get those things, instead of complaining about them. We all went through it, it's part of the game and once you get to the end game you see nothing is overpowered and everything can be countered, nothing needs to be nerfed, everything was fine how it was, but these stupid nerfs just make things unusable and it's only ever low hangers that complain about things, that was my point why these complaints shouldn't be listened to because when that player who complained becomes a higher power player, they will realise there was nothing to complain about, anyway, nothing should ever be nerfed and people who complain just need to get those weapons or mech themselves

People did complain about nomad, surge, disc launchers and arc torrents. All got NERFed because they deserved it. They over saturated the game and clearly people using them were winning a lot more and they weren't fun to play agains. This also wasn't just at the lower levels it was up at the highest level for disc launchers and arc torrents at the time of the NERF. Only arc torrents became unusable immediately upon being NERFed. Disc launchers became pea shooters with the addition of mods. Nomad and surge are still quite powerful. You're greatly exaggerating the impacts of many NERFs. Maybe you just can't win without using toxic OP mechs?

Oh yeah also Nomad only got NERFed below max level and it also is still widely used at low SP. The biggest problem for Nomad right now is Blizzfrost and Citadel not that it got NERFed at lower star ranks

But you get what I'm saying right?

Let me help this become clearer. I'm not a new player. I'm an on/off playing veteran.

Everything doesn't seem overpowered because I don't know how to counter it. And even if I was new, you should reasonably expect new players to point out problems for new players. I can figure out fine how to counter different builds. Does that make these things any less frustrating to play against?

At lower SP minor annoyances for higher level players always get exaggerated into a majorly unhealthy game ruining problem. And it's not the players doing it. That's simply a reflection of how much stronger players you can expect to encounter. You're max. You're hardly going to be playing against players much stronger than you if at all.

You can say "just grind it out" and "just save and get those mechs that seem strong". But the problem still stands, I don't want to. Everything that seems strong is some stupid camping equipment. And no matter if that's 3 months or a year yo're talking about time scales of months that I just don't want to slog through.

In the early days of mech arena people had a similar debate about javelin racks. They were strong against lower levels but not against higher levels. Some people thought they were OP at lower levels and should have been NERFed. I actually thought different but that was for one reason, they have a minimum effective range. If you get within that range, the javelin racks are rendered useless because they can't lock on. Even being a low level player against a high level player doesn't matter if you're in the minimum range you have the advantage. That made it so when those were META at low levels other weapons also still were.

If this equipment that appears overpowered at low SP, because it is, came with some major weakness that could be exploited it would probably be a lot more tolerable to play against and we'd have more than just CAMPING EQUIPMENT WITH FULL MAP RANGE AND NO MINIMUM RANGE OR MAJOR EXPLOITABLE WEAKNESSES TO SPEAK OF that seemed powerful at lower levels. Like in the early days shotguns and longarms and other non camping equipment was also powerful.

But you're just vehemently against it like "NOO DON'T NERF IT'LL BECOME USELESS AT THE HIGHER LEVELS! SILENCE NOOB! YOU CLEARLY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT STOP CRYING. *clears throat* By the way I don't mean any disrespect." Except historically a NERF in this game despite what you think has hardly ever been a death sentence. And like I said all I want is for using this equipment to be a little more risk involved than freaking camping where you spawn and picking off enemies at the other spawn without having to expose yourself having to put yourself in the line of fire even once.

It might be, I understand ur prblms in the game, but it's worth mentioning that no mech/weapon is OP on its own. Different people use different tactics (Some players say SP dropping is also a tactic which explains themselves) and tactics completely differ from the mech/weapon performance. The numbers we see for each mech or weapon are not just stats, but it's a measure of the performance given by them in ideal conditions (like 100% aim accuracy, zero endlag, perfect positioning and ability timing, etc...)

There are some really annoying spammy builds in Mech Arena, though they have limited number of counters, they can still be countered. Everything is unfair until we learn the system, and give these spammers a taste of their own medicine!

OP when combined with SP dropping is still a problem for developers to solve, much like when a certain combination of mech, weapon and pilot setups are OP that's still a problem for devs to solve. Like for Eclipse and Revoker. The combination of eclipse and revokers was OP. So devs NERFed both.

Also the mechs aren't tested in ideal conditions necessarily. They're testing in general conditions, before modifiers get applied with ideal network and player performance. But obviously there's lots of scenarios outside general and ideal. Devs still need to fix when problems arise there.

By the way it took us a while to get to this point where nothing is OP at the top level or nothing seems that way currently. If you haven't forgotten we just went through 5 big rebalancing waves where several overused and oppressive mechs got NERFed so that builds could diversify.

We have yet to reach that point in early game. And it's far from true that nothing is OP there.

And to explain to you how let me tell you I know that there's 3 criteria that determines if something is OP. Those criteria being as follows:

Is it overused?

Do people using it win significantly more than those that don't?

And is it fun to play against?

The equipment needs to meet both of the first 2 criteria or can just meet the last one or all 3. And seeker meets all 3 at low SP. Let's go through the criteria for seeker at low SP, shall we?

Is seeker overused at low SP? It's hard to tell. Because it's a camping mech and using it is widely regarded as dishonorable its one of those mechs that lots of people say they only use it against other campers. So perhaps a good chunk of them aren't lying. But fhey have it in their hangars. I'm sure plarium still counts that in their stats.

Do the people who use seeker win more than those who don't at low SP? I know I lose to it more than I do against people who don't use it, with the exception of other camping builds. And despite everyone's preconceived notions, I'm not a noob.

And finally is it gun to play against at low SP? Well does it sound like it's fun to play against at low SP? I've complained it has full map coverage on many maps with a freaking teleporting ability and it's got no exploitable weaknesses its damage near matches 32 max energy with the damage boost and it gets a physical shield. Oh and did I mention it's really good at taking advantage of lag and oh did I mention ITS FREAKING INVULNERABLE DURING ITS TELEPORT MEANWHILE IT CAN STILL DAMAGE YOU?!

What is mid at high SP a minor nuisance can sometimes be instant death without a hope of reacting from anywhere on the map at low SP because of lag and you can't "learn how to counter" lag. It doesn't even need to be a ton of lag. Every internet communication has some lag. Seeker benefits from lag more than others because it has a lock on ability which initial lock ons usually take a bit but switching is near instantaneous. It only needs a little lag.

Being able to get an instant kill anywhere on the map without having any counter play or exploitable weaknesses can't be construed as anything but overpowered.

SP tanking with seeker is OP so devs need to either fix SP tanking, which devs seem to inept to see the obvious fix in giving items their real power ratings, or NERF Seeker or both.

I don't see how devs would cap energy capacity they would have to force unequip every seeker in the game which I don't know how feasible that is

Yeah, the damage bonus while using a shield already sounds pretty strong, especially when you can combine it with attacks from behind. I can see why people are asking for a nerf. Limiting the energy capacity to 16 or 24 would at least give the ability a clear tradeoff without making it completely useless. I’d be interested to see how the devs balance it in the next update.

Can't even be bothered reading all that, I read a few bits and give up, solis and hemlock are unusable now at end game, they didn't need that big of a nerf, they was easily countered, surge and eclipse ate low hp so didn't need a nerf because they die easy anyway from most 32 power.

You say you been playing from the start but you're have low hangers, must mean you're either bad at the game, or only play like once a week, you should be all 20k plus hangers by now if you played since the start, it's not hard to save resources and upgrade things, but anyway my point still stands, low level players are still learning so have no real idea about the game, go ask all end game players with 20k plus hangers, every single one will say the same me and that nothing needs nerfing, it's only ever low hangers that complain about things, that'sy whole point, that it won't matter when they get big hangers,

Cant be bothered talking about it anymore 👍

One more thing, let's just nerf everything in the game, let's make all mech same hp, all ability and cooldowns the same times, all weapons the same damage and reloads, yeah let's make this game happy for all the cry babies who have no clue about the game and don't understand that things are meant to be more powerful than other things so you can grind resources to get them, basically the whole point of every game is that, but no let's just make everything the same so no one will complain then 👍

😅 Sometimes, doing a "moon-walk" when you see the icon which alerts that the seeker is about to teleport helps (from what I've hear from some community members). Also, its energy is capped at 24 - which I doubt would ever reduce. Hovever, I'd pass this on to the team for consideration.

Caping the energy capacity at 20 will be fine and great for some people

Honestly just make the thing need have extra steps to lock onto a player like the target must be in vision to teleport to, this will also give missiles weapon more use after the storm rack nerds to kill those cover campers
