Soooo... Another award playoff event huh? I would like you guys to focus on the top 3 players... They have been consistently on the top 1-3 of these type of award playoff events for the past 7+ times. No way they would have stashed enough XP, no way they'd still have weapons to upgrade, no way that they already logged in for 4 days...
Can we get a ban on these guys? It looks severely like cheating...
It's not that this is unfair. It's that this is pure cheating... The would already have used up their XP stash if that's what they are doing, and there is also a max amount of xp they earn per battle too... So it's impossible for that to happen. They wouldn't have weapons to upgrade as well due to the fact that they got top 3 in the last few events too. That only leaves hacks open...

Well i think so but also without Cheaters its unfair you have to grind al day to get in this lists🤬
The biggest problem is that Plarium always comes back and says that there are legitimate ways to get these numbers, but provides no explanation of what those legitimate ways are. It's some closely guarded secret that no-one wants to reveal to clueless saps like us :-).
I know you can save some resources like XP for a limited amount of time, and maybe you can defer upgrading all your items just for such an event to earn those points, but even then the numbers rarely add up.
Happens with me too. How do they get like 15k points in just a day. You look at their profile everything is maxed. No way to upgrade the weapons. Also it's p2w nowadays
Man I wish I could comment on this in its current state. I just don't play enough to and I probably never will again. You have to crazy no life to ever win anything in my limited former experience. With crates you have to save an absurd amount of time.
When you're not literally paying to win it, playoff events live up to their name. I just wish tournaments weren't also like that.
Earning 100 XP earns you 20 points, and upgrading something earns you 25 points. In two days, if someone has already earned 15,000 points, they need to have either
a. earned 75,000 XP, or
b. upgraded mechs and weapons 600 times
or some combination of the above. The other ways (points from daily objectives and points from logging in for 4 days) can't contribute anything significant in the first 2 days.
At best with a +200% XP modifier you can earn 2000 XP per day. This comes from daily objectives (500 XP), battles (500 XP), and the gold pass +200% XP modifier (another 1000 XP). On top of that, you can have at most 30,000 XP saved up from earlier (500 XP from daily objectives for a limit of 60 days).
Together this gets you to around 34,000 XP or 6,800 points. From there, to get all the way to 15,000 points you would then have to upgrade mechs and weapons approximately 325 times.
Sure it's technically possible, but are you saying that that is what people are actually doing? If we saw it happen once in a while, it would make sense, but this event always has a whole bunch of people that have such incredibly high scores within just a day or two. So, even though it's possible, it's hard to imagine it being the likely explanation given its high occurrence.
Is there some other way to earn XP that I haven't listed and is maybe unknown to the average mech arena player? Or is there a flaw in my calculations? Have I missed anything significant in my analysis?
P.S. - I'll add one more thing. I picked 15,000 points conservatively because of the original post in this thread. There have been past events where the top players have had significantly more than that in the first 2 days.
Hey guys! We've checked, and apparently, there is no cheating in this Event; the top players gained so many Points by upgrading their Content.
Thanks, CrystalDrew. I was willing to end the matter with your response, but since then there are a couple of observations that caused me to change my mind :-) :
1. When I checked recently, the leader mentioned in the original post had about 36,000. An increase of 20,000 points from the time of the OP. Let's say around 2,000 points came from XP and other sources, to get the rest would require an additional 720 upgrades.
So, even if the user had lots of XP stored up from before, they would still need a total of 1,000 upgrades to reach this score! There are only a few mechs that you can upgrade cheaply.
2. Someone noticed that the user "Dog of War", who was recently at 4th position with 20,000+ points in the current gold event, had ended the previous award playoff event at 36,000 points. That event had the same objectives as the current one (XP, daily objectives, upgrade, and log in for 4 days). Somehow, this user has so far accumulated 56,000 points over the two events.
That would need a significantly higher number of upgrades than 1,000, probably over 1500 upgrades (very rough estimate). Attaching the screenshots here.

I'm not accusing these players of doing something wrong, but you've got to admit this is very odd which is why I and others are so curious.
Consider the conditions to make such a thing possible. You have to start with mechs and weapons at the lowest possible rank for its rarity, and you have to spend a huge amount of credits, acoins and blueprints to upgrade that many times. There are, after all, only a limited number of mechs and weapons (common and uncommon ones) that can be upgraded cheaply.
Under these conditions such scores continue to be hard to fathom :-).
