There are plenty of counter measures and useful strategies against eclipse. Just because they don't show on radar doesn't make them invisible to be seen to use any weapon other than guided on them. In showdown, it all comes down to luck if you select the right counter setup when your opponent has selected eclipse.

I like my Gemini, but multi-layer shields make it almost useless. Still, I will continue to run it because it's fun when it works. Not a snob who think revoker and storm rack are the only 2 weapons to play.

Its not so much the mech as it is the mods, implants and revokers that put it on overkill. Honestly revokers mounted to 75% of the mechs is op. The weapon should be nerfed. As for the mods and implants, poorly designed and implementation was even more void of thought. I swear the devs are single skilled and design is completely foreign to them. Its bad enough implants threw off the strategy of going against individual mechs but the mods exacerbated the problem. In an attempt to inject something new to the game the devs screwed up the games original appeal. I have been very vocal about the game needing a rebalancing update unfortunately the recent announcement is creating a lot of dread when I think about their track record. The dev interviewed in the video did nothing in terms of building any kind of confidence in the upcoming "big update."

I saved acoins and did my best to unlock Eclipse only to counter freaking Surge who is killing you 9 times out of 10 once it stuns you. So I don't think Eclipse needs nerfing - but Surge. Eclipse is the only proper counter to this mf

Correct. The only people complaining about eclipse are the filthy casuals that need to freeze their opponent to get a kill. Hiding around corners hoping they can freeze a player. Quite possibly the only thing worse than a player that dumps money into the game and saying I can afford it to make it feel better.

Hemlock, which I believe f2p players can get for credits, could freeze it, but it's nerfed now.

People who can just dump money into the game already have a pink star eclipse with all the mods, implants and  twin 12 revokers. Or do you mean people who drop $30 to spare themselves 2 months of grinding?

Just had a thought. The revokers are another problem entirely. Problem with Eclipse Ruffles says it's a necessary mech because of all the lockdown abilities. So plarium is NERFing some lockdown abilities. This is a good start but how about some more stuff to provide resistance to said lockdown effects?

I think Eclipse is worse than Surge, and I'm talking in Hanger where at best its 2 on 1 Eclipse. It isn't the ability per se. It's really the high energy capacity, the mods, plus revoker.

Ive countered Surge with Zephyr, Bastion, and Parasite. I still usually lose, but have a chance. It is my number 2 Hanger problem. 

In Control point, its way different. Those mechs do not often dominate. There are more players and greater distances.

But you can shoot at Eclipse and kill it. Once Surge stuns you, you can only sit and watch as you get killed. I don't see how Eclipse is a bigger issue. Maybe if you're forcing guided weapons, in that case, if you're too lazy to aim, you deserve to get countered by Eclipse

Nomad with embers is the best counter for eclipse, easy to kill eclipse with nomad an embers

Also if you have mid range mech an weapons then you should be no where near league 1 or even league 2, should be playing in league 3, because league one is for maxed legendary with the purple 7 stars and all legendary mods in ur hanger an league 2 is for 6 star leg mechs

Call me summer's eve. Go apply ice to the affected area of the burn and tell yourself youre a "gamer." As for the subjective opinion of eclipse being unbalanced, eclipse brought balance for the mechs that paralyzes/freezes. If your going to draw tbe line do it there and start with surge. You will unbalance the game if you nerf eclipse and leave surge the way he is. Also when is this "rebalancing" going to begin? I would like to start playing ffa tournaments again. Right now its which casual got the biggest thirst fest going on.
