I've tried giving away my account in the past and they threatened to ban the account. They said it's against the rules to sell an account (they see "giving" as "selling") I wasn't trying or wanting to sell it but apparently it breaks the account selling rule by GIVING it away. Bunch of controlling punks run this game.

Mech Arena made an announcement on Discord:
That's why you can't give away your Account.
Still, our ToS prohibits it.
The definition of sharing is to lend a portion of (something) to another or others. The definition of giving is to freely transfer the entire possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to. Sharing allows something of the gift to remain with the giver. Giving transfers the possession completely.

I repeat, it's prohibited. It's not my personal opinion, but a position of Plarium. Thus, if someone's sharing their account and it's getting banned, I may just repeat that it was and still is prohibited.

I don't think you quite understand what I am saying. Let me rephrase it then. If I were to share my account with one of my friends, then that would mean I am breaking the rules of letting someone else use my account. Sharing my account means that I myself can log into it, and also, another person is able to log into it as well.
However, lets say that I have played Mech Arena for 2 years and I am ready to quit. Though, instead of sharing my account, I actually offer to give it away for free. Well, what would this mean? It means that I would not be my account anymore and it would be someone elses, maning that, again, only 1 person is in control of the account and no 'sharing' is going on. How then, is that breaking the rules of 'sharing', if it infact is not sharing at all.
Yeah I'm ready to quit this game as well, there's no fun in this mess of a game. 3-4 years of watching these developers do everything they can to manipulate the game and it's community while major game issues just get worse. Since I can't GIVE as in transfer (not share or sell) my 3-4 thousand dollar account away, I'll just have it deleted if that in game delete account button even does anything. Just got to make sure to not log into it for over 30 days so it actually deletes the account if that button works. Good luck everyone, hopefully I'll see you in a different game developed by a different company that's no so shady like these ones are. ✌️

Sad to hear that you're leaving! Remember that you're always welcome back, even if you're deleting your account 😉
As I've already mentioned, we are preparing something huge, so if you like to check it out in the future, be sure to return!
Another fine example of Plarium's never ending greed and attempts to control its players to the minutia.
Yet another player has had enough and is saying bye to Plarium forever and what does Plarium do? They threaten that player with suspension of their account. Now that's rich.
Could you please elaborate on the part about "they threaten that player with suspension of their account"? As I didn't threaten anyone 🙌
We have the Terms of Service, which mentions that it's prohibited to share one's personal info (including login and password) with anyone. The reason for this is the risk of an account and personal details being stolen. A user can delete their account anytime, but surely, there is no way back - if the account is deleted, it can't be restored.
Hope that now it's gotten more clear.
Typo 😇
I'd like to apologize for all of my personal attacks towards you Drew (not my attacks on the company). My anger towards the company shouldn't have been directed at you personally and I apologize for that.
I have 3 accounts on here.. the one I'm on now, clf.3879 and TestSubject, apologies for the personal ones on them as well.
I wanted to direct message you this but my past actions have me blocked from doing so.
