I'm not a troll. I think our differences are largely a generational thing. I grew up on video games that were actually hard and you just had to keep dying until got good enough to proceed, at which point you start dying all over again as the game gets harder. So seeing people lose their minds over a relativly minor change in the game is beyond my ability to emphathize with.
I actually happen to have played some of said games that are so hard you have to keep dying until you're good enough to proceed. But I hope you understand for some of those old games they were single player or coop games where you weren't competing. Or if you were it was on an even playing field. Arcade games were also designed this way to get people to keep putting in quarters. And hey, people lived with it. It's like you say a business has to make money. But with arcade games there was little other viable ways to do it. Here there is other viable ways to monetize. If plarium is going to do it that way, so be it. But they can't do that and string us along and say they think mech arena should be fair at the same time.
Since I have not said yet about bots having the mods, I think it is a necessity for bots to have a degree of difficulty, but they also need to be realistic. This could possibly be a tough balance to strike with the introduction of new customization features
Then pick one and stick to it!
I don't know if I count "what took you so long" as a complaint. Both are still true. I don't know what I'm picking. But you can argue with me about how many complaints I made more if you want. I will leave it here. I was on board with the EM nerf and I talked mostly about the implant charge when it happened because that's what I was concerned about.
my honest assesment of the MODs is that they were probably a comprimise. They had already nerfed the EM rifle to my understanding, but I'm sure people still complained about getting 1 shot killed from a weapon with such a short cool down. MODs fix that without further nerfing those weapons and it gives them another oppurtunity to sell some stuff. But, you cant make everyone happy all the time. So some people are very unhappy with this change, but probably less people that were unhappy with the EM Rifles and such.

That was my evaluation of them. And it's fairly creative. I'm not really sure how I feel about the shields having 6-9 layers at max though. Seems overboard. For reference that's the equivalent of 3-4.5 full salvos of EM shots. But again we'll see.

Generational thing ? You from another planet ? Did Nintendo charge its players thousands to upgrade Mario brothers? Did you have P2W to be top players in Street Fighters and all those arcade games? Or it was based on skills back then and not endless add-ons and mods to be better? Did Sony and PlayStation ever charged its player base thousands for any upgrade mods for its way better game play and graphics?
Plarium employs gambling practices into their games and they constantly manipulate their game to benefit solely for their income and you think people can't complaint ? There is a reason why their FB page is filled with people complaining and demanding to change.
I neither like or dislike Mods, in my opinion the execution of the way it's being added is bad.
It's just that Plarium is legally allowed to do this whether we like it or not.
Also i see alot of complaining on this Forum, but no possible solutions a given.
A possible solution is thet bots temporarily don't use Mods and that the current Derby Event becomes a permanent weekly event.
There is solutioning (especially around the most contentious topic of matchmaking), but unfortunately it gets lost in the noise. In general though I think it's totally fine for people to just complain and not provide solutions. A customer sees a problem and reports it, which is a standard and normal thing.
The real problem with the complaints, in my opinion, is that too many are uncivil and get personal, which detracts from the substance of the conversation. (And while I understand the frustration behind the lack of civility I don't agree with it.)
I've not gone through this whole thread but I do see a lot of conversations about the mods feature. I thought I'd share my personal take on this - I haven't liked the idea of mods since they were first introduced. What I have done about it is that I've not used them. At all. It makes the game harder, but I accept that they are a thing and we have to live in a world where they exist.
I've also accepted that one day the challenge might be too much for me and I will give in and start using mods :-).

Well the solution to that is simple, to realize that Plarium control the board. I have nothing against f2p players, I want them to have fun, nor do I care about the whales, if they want to spend exorbitant amounts of money why shouldn't they? It's Plariums fault the matchmaking is crap, but it's rubbing salt in the wounds when you spend a little money to be called lacking skill, pay 2 win (the complete opposite of the truth), but I understand it's plarium that creates that noxious atmosphere.
Put it this way, if you think your enemy is the guy spending a few bucks to not have to grind, or play tournament, or hanger Showdown, everytime you want to buy a bag of dorritos, or a bottle of soft drink, put the money in a jar and spend it on upgrading a mech. Unless you're not paying on some principle, e.g. that you shouldn't have to pay for digital goods. But then you shouldn't be degrading those pay for you to play. And like I said this is nothing against f2p players who aren't malicious douchebags. You deserve a voice too.
Actually the point that should be made, since everyone is asking for the price of legendaries to be dropped is that people don't mind spending, it's just that everything costs too much, and Plarium doesn't charge local prices, so a mech for $20 American costs the same in a place where that is a week's wages. Eh Plarium?
