This game was already one of the slowest grinding games in existence. Took at least a month OR two for a decent player to harvest enough A coins for one decent star upgrade. But at least that was something. Now its impossible to move forward in game with this new tournament system. No A coins equals 0% progress.
All players know the A coin upgrade bottleneck. This looks like a completely intentional move to lower and limit the communities general A coin income in game. Thus giving the player no choice but to buy A coins for decent progression, thus causing company profit margins to go up (in theory). I dont want to say its obvious, but I'd advise whoever is driving this drunk bus to sober up and realize your community are not idiots. Your driving this game right off a cliff.
Your much more likely to get players to continue to play and spend a little cash if they have fun and a chance to move ahead by playing and earning progression in game rather than spending money being the only option.
Enjoy this pay to play gaming era yall, where the younger gens are obsessed with skins. It will end at some point. The money train will derail, and you'll be expected to make a great game to be successful, not just pay to play trash with very little real challenging strategy. Yall need to stop with the money grabs, trying to find any way you can to squeeze blood from a turnip. Just make a good challenging and competative game. This is what the people want.
They don't want a phone game they gotta spend 100$ a month to be slightly competative. Hate to say it, because I like some of the weapon rebalances, but that also forced players into spending money. Maybye the rebalances were good for the game overall, but thier definitely seems to be a tone being set.
In the words of princess Leia "The more you tighten your grip, the more galaxies will slip through your fingers"
The most challenging part in this game is trying to understand why the mech or weapons descriptions and listed damages don't seem to add up like explained on the actual battlefield. π€ π Yall sure someone is inputing the correct numbers?
Before, with the Old tournament,
(WHICH YOU SHOULD REVERT TO! That seems to he the whole communities general consensus BTW! Untill you ARE REALLY willing to put some work and thought into something better that dosnt kill your game.)
I averaged anywhere from 1k to 2k A coins per month.
Now, with this new tournament, Im lucky if I win 1/8 battles a day, due to the garbage matchmaking, awarding me 16 A coins a day when tournaments are live... thats next to nothing! And that's if I finish first on my team!! .. otherwise its less.
That's 480 A COINS A MONTH!!! NEXT TO NOTHING! WTH! It would take me 6 months of playing to upgrade 1 mech from 4 to 5 stars...

This has happened to almost your entire playing base, leaving them 1 option. Spend tons of money to max mechs and join a clan with all 5 of your squad who have done the same or you will not and cannot advance to make the game even worth playing? Your new player basis will dissapear as will most of the old. Only the rich players, cheaters, and ones with inside connections and get handed out those constant promo A coins for free, will be left.
You claimed players would on average yield more A coins in this new tournament system. Incorrect! Maybye, top tier players with maxed mechs and weapons can get more A coins. Not the rest of us.
Then I saw a response in another update chat where yall said you had increased A coins more then planned and were going to reduce the payouts. Lololol. Glad to see you did the opposite, but that solution didnt begin to cut it or fix the gosh dam problem. You haft to fix matchmaking.
You can't have people with maxed out mechs and 32 weapon energy wielding 2 16 weapons being put against people with thier highest upgraded mech only being a 4 star 16 weapon energy to work with. Personally, do bots, don't do bots, I dont care. The system should bracket people based on thier all around 5 most used mechs and weapons star ranking, ect other values.
MAYBYE IF YOU HAD PROPPER MATCHMAKING people would yield more A coins on average, but probably not even then! If I won half my battles and got 1rst every time that would be 74 A coins a day... thats about what I used to make in the old system... approx 2200 A coins per month. Maybye that's how yall looked at the math originally and why you thought this was a good idea. But that ain't ever gonna be the story with the matchmaking. Im lucky to win 1 out of 8 battles.
And how can people party up that are in different brackets and play together in the same matches. That means what? Im playing against top tier bracket players because they joined a lower tier member leading thier party? Im assuming this based on what I see live and in game.
The only players averaging more A coins now are people on a 5 man clan team, near maxed out. Being matched in tournaments against players they can 1 shot with every mech and weapon they own. While the only way to aquire A coinsvto dvance in game is through them? Lolol.
FYI!!! The WHOLE TEAM SHOULD GET THE SAME A coin reward!! I SAY THIS as a player who is usually in 1rst when my team wins.... or the A coin gap should be smaller between 1rst and 5th place player on the team. The last fix was not enough. The gap is still too big. Also, The loosing team should not get anything.
IN CLOSING, THE MAIN PROBLEM TO FIX WAS MATCHMAKING. YOU DID NOT FIX THIS.
ONE IS LEFT TO WONDER WHY, WHEN IT IS SO OBVIOUS AND OVER 50% OF THE RESPONSES FROM PEOPLE MENTIONED HOW BAD IT WAS. Even posted screen shots for yall. Yall are not idiots, you know how bad it is. Take responsibility and do something about it, because as it sits. I cannot farm A coins for crap, and 1 upgraded mech or weapon for 6 months of farming aint worth anyone's time.
I am literally very close to uninstall and moving on, as it would seem the majority of those playing are also.
