Apparently you did better than most in your tier and 900 sapphires and a skull isn't bad for little effort.
In stark contrast, the bg and pvp tiers are worthless to me because I am in the same tier as level 89 coiners
I am level 52 on kabam
Just not worth even trying to compete for only 125 sapphires :(

If you participate in more tournaments you'll get put in a higher tier and have the opportunity to win more crystals. Those level 89s are probably not very active and don't participate much if they got put in the same tier as a level 52.
