Crew Will Not Be Dismissed

When You Lack The Rum To Maintain Them!

Ahoy, Captain!

Every time the Rum runs out, there be plenty o’ Pirate riots. The ol’ barkeep had enough o’ that, so he’s switchin’ the liquor with lemonade. Once yer buccaneers be blitzed, they can’t tell the difference!

From now on, if ye don’t have enough Rum to support yer Crew, they won’t die or abandon ship. Ye can use yer Resources to hire all the Crew ye need, and they won't leave when the Rum's gone!

Remember that yer Crew still consumes Resources, so keep an eye on Resource Production. Ye cannot have less than 0 Resources, but yer Crew may use up Resources faster than ye can make ‘em. Prevent this by constructin’ and upgradin’ yer Rum Cellars and Distilleries!

Piratically yers,

Anne Bonnie

thats a silly idea cause without the rum limit some ppl can grow  by number far over the limit

that idea will kill the game and i suggest to take it back

you still need rum though for updates and buildings not to mention troops

you can only go so far as getting BH help, next you will see gold and iron being sold for rum in the market because they can't keep up with the rum production, this maybe a good thing

Ahoy me brave Captains!

From now on when ye have less Rum than yer Units require, they shall no longer die or desert ye.

Ye build Units to make yer Haven stronger and we came to the conclusion that it is not fair that ye keep losing troops if ye have not enough Rum to support them.

Now ye can use all opportunities for hiring all the Units ye need.

It doesn't mean that ye don't need Rum any more. Ye still need Rum to be able to build troops, upgrade buildings and discoveries.

Generally speaking, in the past ye had to move yer troops to yer Harbor or sent as Reinforcements to other Havens so that they won't be dissolved, now ye can stand firm in your own Haven and defend it.

Nobody cancelled the fact that yer troops still can be destroyed in yer Haven so do not forget to move yer offensive troops to Harbor.

Players mentioned that it was a part of your strategy to save troops for starving.

Have you seen questions from inexperienced players who think that their troops just disappeared after they were built? Just because their troops died due the lack of Rum. And now all Captains will be able to spend their resources to build the army. Yes, you don't need strategy for keeping them alive from deserting anymore. But now you can explore other strategies that are related to other game features while your troops are safe.

There are so many ways where ye can find positive changes and new strategies in order to concentrate on bigger aim than savin' yer troops from deserting!

I like the idea , it allows folks to build for a long term task. target runs for a week, build to have a chance at taking down large targets that are safe with massive def on them..etc adds a ton of variables.

Captains, yer troops still consume Rum so do not forget to improve all necessary Resource buildings. What about +25% boosts to your production? You still need them for the normal vital functions of your army as you won't be able to train new troops if your Rum Cellars are empty.

The point made that you cannot build more troops if your cellar is empty means nothing. The big money players don't build, they buy.

Congratulations, you have just created an exclusive club of coiners. Better start increasing the value of your bots cause when the small time money players like myself decide not to throw good money after bad, those big boys gonna have no more targets, except each other. lol, let's see how long that lasts. Pity, in one foul swoop, you just took a great game and blew it right out the water.

Plarium, hope you remembered to build a cancel button next to the auto destruct button you just pressed. If NSF is aiming on moving along, won't be long before the rest follow. I thought this was a strategy game, seems I was wrong, money talks, end of story, end of game.

i agree whole heartedly with the premise that you ..thru raids or haven production alone.. can support the troop levels.. if they quit drinking they are useless anyway.. not a effin pirate in my book..

Wow, it's amazing, you can whack my credit card in seconds, but cannot respond to comments made by players. I'm obviously too small a peanut in the packet to expect that level of acknowledgement of my existence. Or, is it maybe that you have no reason apart from the big dollar for doing what you did. And by the way, by slapping me in the face with your special offers every time I log in just makes me look for the X to close it, really don't care about your specials. You remove the rum limitations and flood the interface with special offers, please wake up, I come here to game, not do supermarket shopping.

no "barbarians" in WoW. . . . but yeah, poor rule change on plarium's part.

Anyone still remembers World of Warcraft ? Or even Blizzard for that part ?

Indeed ... NO we do not lol.

Sure , they still exist and sure, the game is still filled with countless bots.   lol

The day they updated WoW so that a barbarian could handle 2 x 2-handed weapons all those who hadn't left yet, all did then.

And WoW was a game a zillion times better then any Plarium game ( which are .ALL THE SAME game, just in another skin ...... that on it's own is just too funny allready )

Plarium is well on it's way of becoming just the next empty game site with nothing but death server worlds, all nicely filled with ... bots.

They won't even reply to any remarks we make on this subject, .... all we get are polished advertisement talks.

NSF is not the only BH and / or players that are leaving this game and any other Plarium for that matter.

and o yeahhh, we asked around a lot to try to find any gamers that ever had real problems with the rum / starving pirates rule.

We found zero. It was a good rule

No work, no eat. The middle class (small money) are now being burdened further by the rich (big $$ players) and the poor (no $$ players) - so, it will cost us more AND what we have worked for has been eroded.

That kinda stuff fuels revolutions. Let the exodus begin.

If they are stupid enough to buy troops instead of building them, they are ripping themselfs off.

The old system was broken anyway, could have 0 rum without losing any units at all. This way atleast everyone gets to avoid mutineers.

as we still ate tuned with the game and hoping for the best

The rum consumption has been talk from the beginning, plarium isn't going to change it

funny.....

This started nearly a year ago..Game still here.

Look.  With any game after a while developers have to change the game parameters to keep it interesting. All gamers look for / wish for more user friendly.

Games evolve......just the way it is.

Personally... I'd like to see the battles actually take place. Imagine being to see 10, 50 or more ships battling it out at a haven. Seeing troops storm the beach.....Something more kin to Alpha Wars
