Our team is continuously working to improve the game and the matchmaking system. We’re also actively enhancing the AI to make bots behave more like real players. Thanks for your patience!

Hire better programmers.

If the bots, with free choice of mechs and weapons, need to cheat to win than your programmers are lousy.

Believe me, I'm a programmer since 45 years.

Cheating includes:

Changing weapons and mechs during fight

Hitting and killing with impossible shots.

Unkillable bots.

Bots working for opponent team.

Kill stealing.

I'm a bit surprised by the bot hate. Yes they sometimes have useless weapon combinations, impossible sniper aim and loony logic (running in circles instead of facing a nearby enemy, pushing, etc.), but I would not go so far as to say they are overpowered or that they cheat. Or that, in general, they control game outcomes.

With exceptions, if my game has only bots, it goes easier than if there are other humans. I see that is the general trend both among those I talk to and what I see in YouTube videos. Very rarely does a bot decide the outcome of a match. Of course if a bot has a Citadel+Revoker combo it's likely to notch up a high score. It's hard to kill and can blindly drill through its loony bot opponents. But, on average, not to the point where it's better than a skilled human opponent.

In my experience, the only place where bots are consistently overpowered (depending on your SP and ranking) is in tournaments, which Plarium has been open about being deliberate and which (fingers crossed) they will fix in the next tournament.
