It would be best if Plarium would have simply honored the promised rewards despite the mistake. Players should be able to count on the rewards once they are offered. Several of the top leagues were encouraging their members to go all out on this tourney because of the large rewards. For those players who responded quickly, and put in significant effort (and perhaps expense also), the penitence gift is a pittance. At a minimum those players should get an apology and an additional "gift" based on their contribution score to the tourney.
How about you restore the rewards to what they were? DO THE RIGHT THING!
Leagues in the top 10 of that event made decisions that your paltry penitence gift don't make up for the lost time, troops expended in battle grounds and spending on packages!
This appears like a bait and switch scam - well beyond human error and your solution for those leagues that put enormous effort into the event to take paltry gifts is underwhelming to say the least. Told to be Merry and Understanding while the rest of the server got the same penitence gift is not a proper solution on your behalf.
Since you seem to need assistance in customer service and appreciation during this wonderful time of the year PLEASE implement an appropriate correction to your MASSIVE FRAUDULENT APPEARING MISTAKE that has tremendous impact on those that put massive effort into this event
As a long term player I lack confidence in anything you say or promise as reward in the game now. Show me I'm wrong by doing the right thing.
Like was mentioned above...........our league also had an all hands on deck!!
We had members spending lots of time, lots of troops, and even saphires (knowing they would get some back from rewards.)
All that just got flushed.
How does Plarium rectify the mistake? Yes, this is tough decision. How does this be fair to the team mates that put in MILLIONS in points? They get the same penitence gift that EVERYONE gets? Doesnt sound right to me.
Best of luck Plarium to an AWFUL (stupid) mistake.
For now, I'm suspending all payments to Plarium until the end of January.
In addition, I will only do what is necessary to be online, only do what does not cost me troops, sapphires or money.
The decision to correct the mistake made at the expense of the players was an even bigger mistake by Plarium.
As a VIP, I am done paying for anything if this doesn't get resolved the right way, 2 ways here this should be done, 1 the obvious, restore the Saphire payout to its original start, King Kong, i highly doubt it, that this would of created more or if any in-game inbalance as Stormfall has been around for many years, and the top 10 leagues have already been pretty much established, 2 if not option 1, then restore players units lost, as many players blew up alot of units within that 24 hour time period, doing BG's and SH BG tourneys going on at that time, consider the XP compensation also, to simply give some **** *** compensation gift that doesnt even remotely come close to the units lost is a slap in the face to alot players, and bad business to lose what player base you have now
The reason given for revoking the reward is to avoid any game imbalance but I think this deserves scrutiny. After all, what does 150k sapphires really get someone?
Say it's used to revive gargoyles at the normal 50% cost; that means 111 gargyoles can be revived. If gargoyles have been upgraded a bit to 65k per unit, that's about 7 million in offense or defense. Nice but not really significant when we're seeing players in the top leagues with hundreds of millions or billions.
Buy some level 4 SH fortifications? Cool, add something like 15k to castle defense. You still need to have some strong troops out to take advantage of that.
Upgrade 5 high level resource buildings? Meh, it's still incremental progress when it steps up at 100 res/hr.
Giving 150k saphs as a reward to the top league does not break the game.
Do the right thing, Plarium, and restore what was promised.
If I make my customer a binding offer, and I see the first call of an event as nothing else, then the customer can also insist on it, even if I have miscalculated in one or more items in the offer.
This is then my fault, and I then also bear the burden that results from it.
I can't go and say, oh I forgot something, or I miscalculated, your garden will be 10 times more expensive than in the first offer.
What Plarium has done with its customers here is not good business conduct, you just can't do that.
I can understand the displeasure of many players very well.
Due to the reported prize money, I and many others played beyond the normal range, with troop deployment (loss) and a lot of time.
Insolent behavior towards one's customers ultimately leads to the loss of customers.
Keep up in this way and you will lose your customers with such behavior.

Hi Plarium. The chain reaction you see is due to only one thing; you have made this game a very
expensive one ... and I imagine in this case that you will calculate how much you lose in
the business, not that the game is "unbalanced" due to a mistake. To be honest I thought I don't see well when I saw 150k shappires per player but I thought it is the end of the year and finally Plarium thought to give EVERYONE a chance to enjoy this festive time. You're doing the wrong thing and wrong math ; if you left the tournament as it was, absolutely all the active players would have gotten involved and "burned" millions and millions of troops on all the servers. In my opinion you lose more now than if you had not changed the prizes. I have learned in life that trust confidence and respect are more valuable than anything and that they cannot be bought or compared with money.I hope you don’t forget the main thing;it is we.. The players who keeps this game alive..without us the game would nt exist… this is a real fact.
