So what I discovered as keys for this event:

1. Champ Pass (You want your energy pool at 250)
2. Decent champs. The more damage they do, the less its going to cost
3. About 3k emerald 
4. Hunting pass (2 day one is good enough)

That's it. You want to wait for the Boss which requires you best champs and you are good to go.
