I really dont understand you people.

Having full training queues gives more than 20k in the brawl, multiply that by 160 accounts and every healthy league will score 3,2M points afking. Add raids, regular and SH BGs, champs and 5M mark is a breeze without $.

It takes 20 wins in the diamond tier to earn enough orbs to max out grade IV champ. 20 weeks! 5 f... months! (if you win all) You want to make that a full year? Longer? Or you dont need orbs?

If you are struggling it's your choice. Join active league, recruit active players, merge or stop complaining. All leagues should be aspiring to be the best and not to bring the best leagues to their subpar level.

Agreed.  That's also why there are different tiers in the brawl.  Smaller leagues that can't score as many points still get decent rewards for the points they do score.  At some point you just have to accept that it's not possible to have a game that rewards activity and effort without the people who are more active and put in more effort getting better rewards than those who don't.  And it's possible to score a significant number of points during the brawl even if you don't log in once during the event simply by keeping your troop queues full and starting upgrades ahead of time so they finish during the event, which gets you points for the full build/upgrade time.

I can see both sides on this.  I think tournaments and events in general occur way too often.  I much preferred the way it was 5 years ago when such events lasted a week instead of a couple of days or so, but only occurred once a month.  Many players feel as though they must be involved all the time to stay competitive.   Personally, I don't feel this way.   However, I do prefer not to give an opponent an easy victory.   With this in mind, I'd suggest giving leagues the opportunity to remove themselves from being placed into the upcoming league brawl if they so choose.

For example....if a league decided to skip a week or two in order to prepare for an all out effort for points in hopes of finishing in the top 10 or at least receive maximum rewards from completing all of the point tiers, perhaps a toggle switch could be made available to the league marshal that when toggled 'off', would prevent the league from being placed into league brawls until the switch is toggled 'on'.

Use Tuesday or Wednesday reset as the cutoff point for the upcoming brawl.  Toggling on or off after the weekly deadline would have no effect on the upcoming weekend brawl.

If nothing changes, its still not bad as it stands now.    There is no requirement to participate.   Still, it would be nice if a league that wanted to skip a few could opt out so as not to give other leagues easy victories.   This might also have the side effect of increasing competition and league activity for leagues that actually intend to compete during the upcoming brawl.   Leagues will know in advance that their opponent likely intends to go all out and try to score big, which IMO adds a little 'rush' to the event.

Lets make those brawl victories feel like they were earned....or as many as possible anyway.   Blowouts due to an opponent wanting to skip that week or maybe just doesn't care about the brawls at all....well....just doesn't carry the same feeling as a nail-biter victory does.

League brawls are great as it stands, but an opt out toggle would be a nice addition as well.   Just a thought.

I looked at that.   My choices are friends vs anyone?  Why even have the choice if choosing friends is a violation of forum rules?   Those of us who do not want to be messaged by just anyone are banned from posting on the forums?  Really?  I suppose I should be surprised, but after league marshals were forced to share league management with the devs, it somehow seems to fit.

Why not add another option that allows mods and friends but still does not allow just anyone?

I would be happy to allow moderators to send private messages to me if there is another way, but changing that option from friends to anyone is something I simply can not do.

I am willing to friend all the moderators, and other staff, but if that is not enough, then I guess this is my last post on the forums:(   Take care and good gaming to all.

I can't really say this politely so will just say it straight.

This is the kind of reply that drives player nuts and leads to people having no hope of every getting anything sensible done working with CM's or Plarium.

Someone just pointed out an obvious flaw in how you runs things. Providing people options that can lead them to getting banned is nonsensical. But is seemingly raises no red flags for you when confronted by something that is obvious broken and utterly illogical. Just walk on by as if nothing has happened.

The only sensible response would have been 'I'll look into getting the options changed, or possibly we will change the rule'.

And if you think, no one will seriously ban anyone for closing off their PM's then think again. It has happened I have the screenshot proof and can probably dig it out. If you answered your PM's I would PM it to you but as you don't no way to pass on the info without breaking forum rules.

Hello!

Thanks for your message!

First of all, I've offered an immediate possible solution to Aegon. I think it's gonna work for now.

Secondly, there is no technical possibility to change these Forum settings right now. That's why I didn't dare to promise anything at the moment. I always try to be honest with players and cannot promise anything I'm not sure about.

Thirdly, we do appreciate privacy, but we need players to have their PMs open for Mods and CMs, so that we could contact them in case we need it. It's an essential requirement.

Last, but not least, if you refer to your recent ban, the reason for it wasn't closing your PM or something like this. I guess you're aware of it.

Cheers!

Yes, welcome.  And good point, people can always just not participate in tournaments if they feel it's too much trouble or the rewards aren't worth the work (or if they're busy with other stuff).

i Realized something

some say too many brawls and there are too many too often, and the answer is always the same ,if u dnt want to just skip one,or take one easy and/or work harder with ur team next time..

please note that im not pointing fingers to anyone here or anywhere on forum to people saying too many brawls.. honest...

first reasoning people offer which is a sound one: 160 get 20k points by doing nothing other than dailies gets u ots of points, hence lots of free units and other free rewards

second: if u dnt want to u can just skip one, relax and take it easy in one, work harder in next one... get as much reward as u can every week

third: free stuff every week ,which also makes members more active so why not ?

then i realized something.something so sad... no matter how many reasons people provide it wont help ...

i realized that everyone saying too many brawls too often, they themselves know that its worth the effort every player does...its just that they dnt want others to have it too when they cant ...

they can skip one and get the rewards for the other one but they dont and just complain..

all the rewards can be achieved by just all the members helpin, but they just cant admit that their own members are not helping and just complain...

they know its not an obligation, and u just can ignore it if they dnt want to take part in and they just complain....

they know its good for them when they do it and get good points, even moderate or less points, they get free points, they still complain....

i realized something... it is that they want everyone else not to get the free rewards too when they dnt get it themselves too..

no matter how much of a sound reasoning people give it wont help... people will not hear what they dnt want to..

they just dnt want others who work hard to get more units...

what i realized was pretty sad,but thats just what i realized... i could always be wrong

Is it possible to have the Brawls starts on Random days ?

Not every week, starting on Friday

What about the 100,000's of players that work on the weekends and have week days off ?

Seriously?  There are 100,000's of players who work only two days a week (the weekend) and don't work the other five days (the weekdays)?  What the heck are they doing playing videogames?  They make that much money on the weekends?  What jobs are these, and how did you calculate that 100,000's of players have them?

I made that suggestion to help with " league participation " in the Brawl...  Not that there were " too many " Brawls

Some people work jobs with different starting days for their work week.

Not everyone in the World has a job where they work Mon - Fri

Examples of a Work Week might be:

Tues - Sat

Wed - Sun

Thu - Mon

Fri - Tue

Sat - Wed

Sun - Thur

Mon - Fri

This suggestion for a Random start day, was to allow those who do work part / or most of the weekend, a non-weekend day or two to have time to participate in the brawl.

The Brawls now run Fri - Sun, but they could run:

Thur - Sat

or

Sat - Mon

** This would have given a non-weekend day (Thur / Mon)   to those league members that do work on weekends, a chance to help their league

But as this thread started back in Sept of 2019...

The point is  MUTE  now because the start day for the Brawls will never change.  Plarium has incorporated to many other events into the week that lead up to the Brawl start day.  And Plarium is not going to change 3 to 5 other events, to then be able to change the start day of the Brawl.

Enjoy your Weekend Brawl

Oh, we will :)

Don't worry though, there are plenty of other league tournaments that run at random times during the week, even if you don't have much time to play during the brawls you can contribute towards those.

many reasons put forward ,and people who dnt want many brawls will always say that

they just dnt want others to receive the brawl rewards when theyr not themselves receiving them

they can skip one and do other

they can do only chaps and get 5 nil points.. check this post from beginning, ull see 20 reasons people offered and also solutions..

in the end they just dnt want others to receive Brawl rewards when they dnt and it all just comes down to that
