The only good thing I can see about assassins is that they kill whom ever kills them but they look to be easier to kill then succubus.  Kind of like sending in suicide bombers.  

Maybe ask Rizzo, he has a boat load of assassins and seems to kill better then 2 for 1 on a beacon, fortress or castle attack
