Not sure if I like this change, it pigeonholes your choice of hero. Some kinda like  a lot the gorgeous 3D hero representation this game has. Imagine really liking Timberwolf in that regard, but being more interested in recon bonus.

In addition; someone picking Timberwolf could logically gives away some strategic elements as to what style the player likes.

Your Hero is vital to your survival in Selva de Fuego, and now your choice of Hero is more important than ever. This is because from now on, each Hero gives a specific bonus to your Units, such as improving Unit Offense, Defense, or Movement Speed.

You can choose from the following Heroes, each of which provides a bonus to your army:

- Timberwolf: Increases Light Infantry Offense

- Zero Vector: Increases Light Infantry Defense

- Sabre: Increases Recon Unit Movement Speed

- Strela Alpha: Increases Light Infantry Movement Speed

If you have already selected a Hero, the bonus that Hero provides will be applied to the relevant Units automatically. To change your Hero, go to the Hero menu by tapping your Avatar in the top left corner of the screen. From there, you can select a new Hero by tapping on the icon to the left of your username.

You will require a Hero Selector to change your Hero. This item can be acquired from the Store.

Here is my question: Are recon units not considered light infantry? They are clearly listed as being light infantry troops and acquired from barracks with the rest of my light infantry.

Actually, racon units are 5th type of units in our game. It's not a real infantry.

can you build a tree for each commander. To allow the player to dictate how they want to  strengthen their commander. We all know that eventually everybody's going to get tired of the six commanders faces that you have. It will start to complain they will want more commanders.

Hi! You can upgrade Hero Abilities at this point.

Better it be, than not to be.

Not good. Just a mess switching around and the game sucks out diamonds from the player
