That's a pretty pessimistic view. At the end of the day, is your gameplay really that affected by a handful of people getting some extra rewards?

No, they weren't. I have spent far more than that on this game, I tried to claim the sacreds before we realized it was not for public use and I don't feel cheated. It was never intended for public use.

This. I hate all the rationale I've seen with regards to: "other people got things through exploiting the system so I should get things" or any of the other overreactions/entitlement.
I think the heart of the matter is many people would like some free sacred shards. I mean, I would too! :-) Instead of throwing a fit about this exploit or whatever you want to call it how about we chill out a little and Plarium puts together a nice Christmas gift package for everybody?

I don't want a free account from anyone, I worked for 2 years and something to do 5 accounts not one, I feel unfair because I worked and spent money and others received a lot of alms, do you really think we are blind? These people weren't hand picked by Plarium to get special treatment, they essentially stole these shards because Plariums security was weak. And they will be facing some form of consequence, so I fail to see how it affects anyone else. You weren't told you could claim them and then found out only 10 players got them, these were never for us. They are for internal Plarium use only.

With all the money that we, the customers (Okay, I'm no longer a customer as I uninstalled a few months ago) have paid (Over $300 million last year and over $500 million over lifetime) we, as customers, should be demanding they get their poop in one sock. There is no excuse for "security" like this and also no excuse for Plarium posting up a derogatory post aimed at the customers.
I mean Really?! I understand their need for revenue. I have run a small business and turned it from $2 million a year to $6 million and if I were to treat customers with the disregard Plarium has, that number would have been much smaller. But I didn't...Instead I put more of the funds into improving the customer experience than I placed in profits. That's how I tripled our revenue. But for Plarium it has turned to pure greed.
As a community; we should be demanding they make actual improvements that benefit the customer base, not their profit margin. But most of all, the community should be LOUDLY demanding transparency.

How were they cheated? When I buy $100 of lotto tickets and don't even win a $2 play, am I cheated? No.
