i have a question. in 1 week i went from tier 1 bronze to tier 4 gold 3500 points. today when presents were passed out i didnt see the +20 % hp-atk-def i saw 100 points less in hero power down the line. 10 presents were received but the +20% NO...is this a glitch ? i also saw a drop from 3500 to 2900 upon getting the rating for the present given every monday, an hour or so ago

If I understand you correctly, you want to know what happens when the game RESETS, which is Plarium's notorious whack on everything you tried to accomplish.  They take all players in G4 down to the lowest threshold, which is 2900. Then unless you are there to immediately start raising your score back above 2900, most likely you will get some hits on your defense and be demoted to G3. In G3 you do not get 20%, just 18%. You have to fight your way back to G4.

thx for answering horseman. i was there to stop it from going below 2900. the question is the +20% hp-atk-def bonus. when does that kick in? i figured on reset. i had written down the stats of the top payers i use and i didnt notice a 20% raise i saw a lowering of stats by an average of 100 points per hero

The Great Hall will show you the status of your bonuses. As far as checking the numbers I never tried that.  You can also check your individual champ's stats through the "Total Stats" button on your champ's home page.  There you will see a breakdown of your stats by what each contributer gives, including from the GH. There may be something in those that can give you a clue.

Bear in mind that the GH % only applies to the base stats not total stats.

This is nothing relate to your Arena setup nor speed artifacts.

It's only relate to the number of "real players" you beat & the number of refresh you did.

Anyone can take top 1 Classic Arena if he/she refresh a lot.

There are 2 reasons I do not spend time take top 1 Classic Arena:

- 1st: is in the tournament group has a whale or some dolphines, who spent unlimited for top 1.

- 2nd: the prize is worthless, like in picture above, I have won too many relentless sets but I only use 1 set, only 1 and I even don't use her anymore.

Genuine challenge: Tag Team Arena. 

I won 2nd place last time and got the void shard prize.  

Again, as I said, the tourney win was just a byproduct of me chasing GH medals.  I was going along for quite awhile and then upon checking the scores I found I was in the top 3, and then number 1.  Regardless of how insignificant you think this was, I advanced ahead of a whole pack of others who were also vying for the same prizes, all under the same conditions as I was experiencing.  Often the top contenders are in a mad dash against one another, but these faded away on me.  I faced quite a few "real" players, often the same ones more than once.

Yes, frequent refreshes, both free and with gems, are all part of it, also have to load up yellow tokens from time to time. I needed at least 63 wins in G4 to get the GH bonus I was after.

The real players are also the NON low power players in G4 that are bombing me left and right on my defense, cuz I look like a low power player to them, some 2 - 4 times my power. So it is no easy feat to maintain my place in the pack, regardless of what you think.

I agree that the prizes are not the greatest, depending on where you are at.  But you do not know unless you try.  

Does anyone know how they decide what group to put you in for tournaments?

I farmed arena heavily, making the most of free wins before it ends and got just over 2000 points, but i wasnt even in the top ten for my group... i think i was 23rd.

Is the group decided upon based on account level? Or is it based on activity? Just curious as i would like to be in less crazy groups.

My understanding is that it's based on past performance - so if you do well in one or two tournaments, next time you'll be put in a tougher group where it will be harder to score as high. Personally, I haven't been in any tournament where any non-whale stood the slighest chance of winning in the past year or so. Making top ten is usually possible if you try hard enough, but there's always at least a few who have three to five times as many points as the bottom of the top ten. 

Yeh, i never win tournaments- even when i was burning though all my gems to 6 star all the champions for my arbiter quests i barely made the top ten.

All groupings are similar to CvC, won vs. won, lost vs. lost. 

When you won last tournament the next tournament will be harder, when you lost the next is easier. 

As  far  as I  know  it's  based  on  recent  performance.  I  took  about  4  months  off  and  when  I  came  back  I  was  in  little  baby  groups.  

Think I ran into a bunch of whales in mine, came 5th with near double the points you did, wasn't even close to fourth at the end.

the game used to be very easy but they destroyed it by making way too hard
