They're all good really, all of those deserve to be 60 - except maybe Doompriest is lower priority if you have Scyl and Rector already, though she does do some things they don't.

Miscreated monster is you best bet, he is a solid tank, and should be a reliable tank for a decent time.

My recommendation is to 6 star that champion.

I am actually 2 weeks from getting Scyl.

I have pulled the rest using ancient shards.

I have no epic or legendary void champions. 

Just rares. 

Most of my champions are rares. I have up several to 4 star level. 

The ones I have named are my best champions from looking up responses online.

I would have said doom a month ago, but i use her a lot less since getting scyl (still use doom on clan boss as i dont have a better attack up/cleanse/passive healing champ)

I dont think you can go wrong with scyl

MM  or  Scyl.  Both  are  good  for  different  reasons.  You  have  to  decide  for  yourself  by  seeing  who  you  match  them  with

I would 6 star :

1 MM (needs epic books to be good)

2 Scyl (no books needed)

3 Doom (no books needed)

4 Rector

5 Zargala

Well for the 1sr time your Whale Sonar Senses have failed you. 

Like I said in the original post. I have one 6 star (Kael).

I've been playing for around 7 months.

My 1st month or so didn't log on everyday because I was focused on playing Empires and Puzzles. I transitioned over full time about 5 and a half months ago. I know I have made a lot of mistakes. 

Trying to figure out the game on my own. 

So trying to get advice I initially turned to YouTube vids. But a lot of their content is from the perspective of end game players. Who are whales.

I am now trying to get advice from those who are like me.... But more experienced or more knowledgeable.

I  recommend for  you  to 6  star Maulie.

That doesn't influence the fact that you should level up Maulie. Revive, AoE control (provoke) and the turnmeter filling passive - just great for your dungeon progress.

Wrong  -  the  word  Whale  has  a  different meaning  in  Raid.

The  word  Whale  in  Raid  means  a  person  who  owns  a  Leggo.

You  own  3  Leggos  on  your  account  so  your  a  massive  whale.

They  will  look  at  your  3  Leggo and  call  you  a  whale  too.

Look  at  the  youtuber BGE.

They  call  him  a   Whale  or  P2W  player.

He  never  spent  a  dime,  either.

Not only do you not understand what whale means, you also don't understand what people say when they object to someone like BGE saying something is easy when he has an endgame account.  That's ok though, it is tough to understand what others say sometimes.  I'd suggest you work at it.  Take off some of that protective armor you've built up around yourself and actually listen to others instead of filtering it through your own preconceived notions.

Man J has really gone down in the advice posts quality, instead of actually giving advice he's now arguing about the meaning of the word "whale" which actually is hilarous (I guess I am a whale too if we follow his definition)

As for OP, I agree that Miscreated Monster should take priority on that list, although I really love my Doompriest, her passive of removing 1 debuff + healing every round is really helpful for me

Miscreated Monster is your best bet for 6*.  I have Maulie at 6* and find her very useful.
