as for getting put into a weak group, the only advice i can offer is to pray to whatever gods you believe in and maybe a few that you don't for good measure.

They need to full stop this tourney and make the Champion the progression reward and the soul the 1st place prize.

This is actually a REALLY dumb play by Plarium, the way it is currently being advertised. What if you're an unlucky soul in a tourney group with 3 whales just buying up energy, tossing out Nightmare campaign and books left right and center... you're screwed already;

But then, even if you're one of those whales; you may be competing with someone who already has the champion trying to get a 6* perfect soul, vs a whale trying to just get the Champ before it's gone. This is 100% the worst tourney idea they've come up with in a while and it needs to stop before it starts. 

The champion is available for placing first.

The 6 star soul is available for placing first instead if you already have the champion. 

Neither is available from the progression rewards.

Vaguely curious if the tournament brackets are set up such that people who do not have the champ are only grouped with others who also do not have the champ.

Vaguely, simply because I'd have more of a chance at winning the lottery than actually winning this tournament either way.

The straw that broke the camels back. I hope everyone quits! Rediculous how these people treat their base. Most concepts start with a good vision, then personal feelings and greed become involved. They have not lost sight of their business, just the part that makes it go. A limited time champion with no way to get them except to pay. The other 4 were obtainable.

Its not really a dumb play by plarium the krakens will kraken hard whether for the soul or champ. They will make sure plenty of lego book packs are on sale for the event (its essentially credit card vs credit card)

Personally i find the idea of spending the price of a carribean cruise on a mobile game to be ridiculous, but clearly plenty do not and that is the intended market of the event.

Ok look, I've been very negative about Plarium for many things and 100% honesty, I'm NOT happy about this being a 1st Place Prize. 

THAT BEING SAID, I feel some context is needed for this situation.

1. Archer has been available through multiple events including 3 of the 15/20/25 Target Champions

2. Archer was never promised to be Guaranteed through any Event. What was sent to Content Creators was pretty vague

3. It is the Universal Belief that Archer is the best Champion of the 5. Alatreon's event was absolutely brutal and he's not the most wanted, so of course they were going to make this a very hard situation.

Regarding Tournament Groupings, I even asked about any way to get into a beneficial one, but never forget that a big part of this game is the God of RNG. Whether its a Shard Pull, Soulstone or a Tournament Grouping.

Now, I think this Tournament should award her for 1st 2nd and 3rd Place but that won't happen. My Thursday is going to be entirely based on what my group looks like when I log on in the Morning. If 1st Place already has like 50k Points, well then that means I'm getting to save a lot of resources for the next Fusion/Fragment event with a champion I want. 

Its what i would expect as well, but it doesnt bother me. It is how the game is funded and it seems the standard thing to do with mobile games

Some games like FF14 have a sub to fund them and a mostly cosmetic cash shop, a few games like BG3 have a policy of buy once and play forever (recently bought this game). Mobile games however? they all seem to have gone down the 'micro transactions that are actually big transactions' route to make their money.

And it makes sense from their POV, last time i looked mobile games with p2win systems are the most profitable.

I knew I had no chance, and always intended to just pick up the book. Ignoring the archer event I don't think 11k points for a book is awful
