I'm no expert in Arena, but I can imagine one Duchess in Stoneskin will prove very useful. Pythion should also be a good partner for her. Who are your nukers? 

I use Duchess for Hydra and plan on using Pythion, as well. Neither of them need accuracy, so speed, tankiness, and resist should probably have you straight. 

You definitely want to do exactly what you had in mind. Three teams, one with each. Post your current roster and we can see who else should be on them.

for stats, you'll want resistance, hp, defense, and speed, in pretty much that order of priority (hp and def are about equal). ideal sets are ones that boost those stats, so your best options include resilience, deflection, fortitude, protection, and stoneskin. untouchable is another strong candidate, though it is very much a pvp set and won't be as effective for pve content.

He will be 6-60, full masteries and ascended.  Does he need books?

I have enough books for Duchess and Pythion.  

I would STRONGLY recommend booking him. He can be a serious damage dealer, and when carrying two or more buffs, his A2 can free swallowed champs on Brutal with a single hit. Booking his damage and his buff duration decrease on his A1 is very relevant, and he's only an Epic so it should be a lot easier to come by his books

That was yesterday's run with him. Even without Torment spawns he can lay down damage.

Basically any camp you're going to use in Hydra, you'll want to fully book if possible to add consistency and damage to the runs. Hydra is hard enough even without dealing with longer cooldowns, less buffs, less damage and unreliable debuffs.

For gearsets, honestly, the only stat that's relevant for all three of those, for Hydra, is speed. No other stat really matters for them. So, gear them however best you can, but try to make them all at least 260 speed. Chances are that'll be similar to what you'll want for TTA as well.

You tell me if there's another champ other than Akoth. I didn't see anyone else in your roster with an AoE HP burn.

Do they need any HP, Def, Res to stay alive?  I have a few pieces of Stoneskin and Protection that I could use to add some tankiness.  

I dont have any AoE HP burn.  Just Drex and Kallia that are HP burn target.  

Stoneskin and Bolster and similar sets are useless in long lasting boss fights. The effect expires after 2 rounds, and I guess your team can stand the fight a bit longer than that.

Each champ comes with about 100 speed.  Boots add 40 or so.  That means I have to get 20 speed pts on each of the other 6 pieces of gear.  That sounds like trip rolls or at least doubles and the best glyphs possible.  I dont think I am there yet.

Not quite. Say we use Duchess as an example, who has a base speed of 103. Also, for simplicity, let's say we use one Speed set, with the remaining items coming from other places, and let's assume you go Red/Blue and take Lore of Steel. Let's also assume that each of the six items that can have a speed substat do, in fact, have one. Finally, let's assume you have an average of a double speed roll on each of those speed substats, and that your glyphs give an average of +4 speed.

BaseSpd = 103

SetBonus =  0.12*1.15*103 = 14

SpeedBoots = 45

SpeedSubstat = (6 + 5.5*2 + 4)*6 = 126

TotalSpeed = 103 + 14 + 45 + 126 = 288

That's not really a tall order to reach, and it even offers you with a bit of leeway to not require double substat rolls on each item. You can afford to only hit speed once on three of your six items, and still reach 260 speed.

But there aren't huge differences. The biggest difference is really just dropping Life Drinker on both, and getting Rapid Response and Healing Saviour on both - but really, Duchess won't notice a huge difference. For Pythion, though, unquestionably you want Rapid Response.

How should I gear Skull Lord, Tainix.  Sets and stats.  

I will have Akoth on the next DT reset.  92 frags now.  

Pythion is in Bolster and Divine Speed.  Spd 271, HP 51578, Def 3797, Res 121.  I hope it stays alive.
