Cat people would be awesome though, or some kind of mutants, like tiger/lion/panther people, or other kind of mutants.
Dwarves should definitely be one of the new additions, since they are always in all fantasy games and movies.
Eastern Asian faction would be cool as well
Golems, goblins, trolls and cyclops.
Elementals could also be interesting
Or something completely unique, a new race, maybe magical creatures with some interesting powers, or some deadly cute creatures with big eyes.

Guys i think there is a good chance with the goblins... but hey but from my own point of view i'm pretty excited to see what they bring out. Would be cool if they bring out e.g
- Goblins
- Dwarves (the creepy kind)
- An Ape Tribe (Gorillas monkeys or something like that)
- And a wolf tribe (They'll finally have a chance to bring in a werewolf in)

My guess is actually quite different than most of you and I'll explain why. I think it's going to be a insectoid race not unlike those seen in the Warcraft world. Nyresan just speaks "Nerubian" to me and I can't get that out of my head.

more mythological creature types would be a nice faction, also hoping the devs to release transmogs at some point... too meny champs look almost the exact same

I personally like Mech type heroes or void(as in use a mystical form of magic only know to a group of heroes, not the element). though i think i have played too much MTG.

Maybe it’ll represent 4 countries each with their own specialties. Not sure what they could be but maybe it could be a representation of: Russia, Persia, Japan, and/or China. Not sure, but it would be cool.

I'm super pumped that we're getting D-W-A-R-V-E-S ! Imo Dwarves are the best little beasts in any RPG games. When they finally get released i don't even care are they good or not (Dwarves are always good - Superior - even if they seem bad) and i'll make it my goal to collect them all.
EDIT: Aaand never forget true Vikings!

I feel like pirates would be cool I’ve always loved pirates and dwarves even if they ain’t good at like atk then they gonna have some kinda of like special heal or something I would also love elementals especially after seeing spider man far from home

What's the point of more factions when you can't get the heroes!!!!!!
How about the devs or the community manager gives us an ETA on THIS:
"1) Give out a guaranteed drop or reward upon opening a certain number of Ancient Shards.
We have been considering a mechanic like this for a while now. And we are happy to confirm that it will be implemented into the game. The details of what it will be and the requirements are not yet ironed out, but we are working on it! "

1. Dwarves confirmed. Awesome !!
2. Next maybe - Mammalian or Avian Hybrid Assassins. Like the Khajit from Elder Scrolls. Just a concept.
3. Even maybe - A Plant Hybrid - The Green - like a gang of Swamp Things or the Treemen from LOTR.
4. Something even like futuristic through some portal which might include ranged weapons - like the Tau or Space Marines from WH4K. (This is just being a fanboy).
