GAME LAG is unbearable !!!

Since Plarium "fixed" the clan rankings, territory and OB achievements... the LAG in the game has been unbearable most of the time.

Ive of course, cleared my cache, logged out and back in, refreshed numerous times and nothing works... strangely though... lag was not much of an issue while clan rankings etc were not working properly... the game was reasonably responsive... so i have to conclude the "fix" was to undo the code changes that were implemented around FEB 10th prior to the Valentines OB Carnage (and which caused all the clan rankings etc not to function).


I was really enjoying the game when there was almost no lag... and now its back the extreme lag thats been a constant source of irritation for almost all players... I realize there are other posts regarding lag... but its such a serious issue, it needs plariums attention ASAP.


Some of our players are losing all of their OFF armies, because they put them in the catacombs, but never received a confirmation msg etc and those units ended up being caught in battle (ive reminded our clan to check the keep as well to see what roaming around)... personally its happened to me at least twice... getting raided with no msg  even though im watching the in transit tab.


almost ALL actions take 5 to 7+ seconds per click and the map is particularly BAD.. those vacant spot animations (yes ive turned animations off but they are still map animations) make it very difficult to click on a castles to scout or raid it... it takes several attempts (sometimes 15 or 20) to get the menu up before i can initiate an action.


As well the pop-ups appearing over the console where i enter X Y co-ords or an OB number also contribute to the lag and prevent me from entering co-ords until that pop-up disappears. Can we have an option to DISABLE notifications on the map screen? and can we DISABLE vacant spot animations ?


Ive spent a sizable sum on this game.. i really dislike paying to be a beta-tester. these issues should have already been addressed in the early days of the game.

Have already lost troops due to similar problems, though Plarium insists the error couldn't have been on their side (I got to a page with only some HTML for some time, while having 2 full raids in progress.  Almost all I had got killed before I finally could log in again).


This bloody lag is not just extremely irritating while playing. It makes me more than just a little reluctant to spend money on this game,  as long as Plarium keeps treating both paying and non paying players as fools.

Who's in charge of marketing at that firm? Elmer Fudd?

it's very annoying to me too.
same times it hapens when i have to send reinforcements.
or an attack also when i replied a chat message.
i have to refresh several times because of the game lag

i hope you fix the game lag soon

Blasphemy you are surprising me. Doesn't your game lag at all ?


There was always a lag in this game, however 3 or so days ago it became worse! I am like Mattius and probably most of the players having the same 5-7 sec. lag after each action. I do not pay money for playing Nords. The currency I use in this game is my time. And I dont feel like wasting it. 

I like this game and I want continue playing it, however everything has its limits.  

Plarium please fix the lag.

The Lag/Hangtime Varies Blasphemy there can be delays in actions like moving between stonghold map and going to bloodpacts to going out to world map , the world maps what i hate the most as it gets impossible to click on scout or raid as its a fight getting it to remain long enough to click it to complete the action can spend upwards of two minutes just trying to get a raid click in

I cant provide you with screeshots of lag since a ss is a moment in time and cant accurately reflect what the vast majority of players are experiencing. As Ive stated before LAG has been an ongoing issue since August of last year and we only had a brief three week respite from it when the clan rankings were not working.


It seems to me everytime i move between screens or open a in-game tab (queue units, bloodpacts, switch to the map etc) that its re-loading all graphics each time which consumes bandwidth and greatly slows things down. Ive already mentioned the "vacant spot" animations and steady stream of notifications causing major issues on the map screen. I believe ive provided sufficient information in my original post and ive already contacted your support team who give me the same cookie cutter response of "clear your cache etc"


The fact that this lag affects the VAST MAJORITY of your players shows me there are coding or server issues that need to be addressed. NOT ALL of our computers are at fault. Im a tech guy and i run a lean installation .. i keep flash updated, and only run essential programs.. and Nords is the ONLY game that ive ever encountered lag issues on .. ever.


I agree with PRIMUS, not all players have spent money... but ALL OF US have spent our valuable time building up our keeps, armies etc and we deserve the game to function properly since many aspects of this game are time sensitive (especially if someone is trying to flash raid you and you are rushing to get troops in catacombs... )


It feels to me that the launch of Nords was rushed, and we the players are being used as beta testers. While i understand each game will have some bugs, Nords has been infested with issues which are now only starting to go away.. LAG is the last real issue that needs to be resolved.

"have you cleared your cache or restarted" is about the response Plarium gives its players for as long as I have been here, Plarium has shown time over and over again they could care less about anyone here,, AT ALL, they rather insult and accuse you of doing something wrong then admitting negligence. 


Lag has wasted so much of my time over the recent months i no longer enjoy the game I don't have the time to deal with lag.. so long as people continue putting up with this garbage and continue buying packages plarium has proven they do not care to make any efforts why should they? 


Fixing the lag in this game is your responsibility Plarium, it is a basic expectation of any game developer which you of all the games ive ever played or seen are the absolute shadiest. If you cannot even be trusted to care about such a basic and wide-spread customer service issue I cannot trust your management to make any other improvements that will benefit or improve the average players experience moving forward, that said I suggest that everyone stop buying any packages, 

at this rate there are 2 likelihoods, 

1) they continue the way its been going because its working their pulling in money that makes them content, players continue to suffer the game is what it is deal with it

2) they continue the way its been going until they milk and milk and milk the cow till its finally dead, they could care less about complaints or service


and the potential i like;

3) all players stop spending ANY money on Plarium games until they are forced to actually work for their customers rather against them


I have not seen one choice or change to the game Plarium management has not clearly benefited from more then the players themselves. Bunch of crooks all their money goes into R&D making their game as addictive and costly as possible praying on addictive personalities bypassing gambling laws and regulations, I strongly believe that Plarium is infecting hundreds if not thousands of youths yearly, a young kid signs up to play a pc game and unknowingly is being hypnotized into gambling the longer he stays and plays the worse the addiction becomes, plarium knows this and they feed on addictions like the devil.

LAG has always been there but its totally unbearable.  I cannot Raid.  I cannot Deploy troops.  I cannot collect offerings.  


Let me be more specific.  I CAN do these things but not without it taking 5 mins per task

YES i agree with everything the others have complained about so far, there was some lagging before but lately it has become truly unbearable :(

It is the same with all the players i`m in daily contact with.


I hope this can be fixed as soon as possible, we love playing this game... but everything has its limits... even our patience to stare at a photo for 5 mins.

What I Dislike the most is when I want to go to a castle (friend or foe) and try to do an Action on it...




Those Options (Listed above --^ ) Go away.


I move my mouse over the castle to bring up Those options, I slowly move my Mouse pointer down... then those Options Vanishes... I repeat, repeat, repeat....


The Option to do anything at Any castle....is unreliable. This being a "Time" based type game Every second can matter.... especially to help a friend.

I don't need to take 20+ seconds to make an action on a castle like that.... ESPECIALLY if your in a raiding mood.

I feel that the "lag" is an issue that causes this problem.

And it never used to be like this at 1st either.

@ ELASTAR I'm sorry for using your castle as an example!

(But you did attack our Obelisk, sooo Boo on you!)

@ Primus  yes i randomly get lag too but mines seems to come and go 




Okay guys, i didn't say give them screen shots I said give them information as much as you can to try and solve the problem,

I understand the lag issues, yus i get it as well, but explaining to them shows you aren't just complaining, you are trying to give them 

direction to the problem where it's most active and what you are doing when the lag happens

the more feed back the better understanding for plarium developers ......

It's not that easy to pin point where the lag issues are coming from, right now my gaming in nords is lag free, but next week this can change..

Couple weeks ago i couldn't even raid, took me almost 5 min,, to do one thing, 

So i do understand the frustration here, that is why im asking you to keep emailing plarium, 

share everything you know, from when it starts to what you are doing, even telling them you have deleted temp internet files  cookies/cache files..

And plarium is not working against you, reason why they have MODS here in the forum, we are on your side trying to get the best info as we can

for them to work with, as they ask us to do, they do wan't your opinions

I agree with the lag issue.  I enjoy typing this complaint more then playing nords at the moment.  I have no lag in typing so I want to thank you for the hard work you have done in making this forum "lag free".  On the other note the lag in game is so bad that most nights while trying to play I fall asleep waiting on it to acknowledge I am even there.  Please fix this lag..

LAG in the game is UNBEARABLE, and getting worse every day.

Mine is mostly map related and of course when claiming offerings.

And I want to join my voice to Mattius about the pop up notifications .. please give us the option to DISABLE notifications on the map screen .. thank you.

@ MODERATORS


Many of us HAVE sent tickets to plarium with DETAILED scenarios where lag has occurred. The key issues can be found in this thread (vacant site animations, cant raid or scout castles because the menu disappears, cant enter co-ords until all notifications disappear on the map screen, notifications BLOCKING the space to enter X co-ords, graphics constantly being re-loaded/refreshed and sometimes not loading at all.. waste of bandwidth in my opinion, bloodpact screen is painfully slow to scroll thru ... why are animation on the map ON? when i turned OFF all animations in my settings?? , moving or scrolling in keep is slow and painful, sending troops to catacombs takes upwards of 10s ... to name a few key areas)


YOU moderators have been excellent :) your support team are less than stellar... it appears plarium is outsourcing support to a third party agency who could care less about the game.. and we get responses like "clear your cache", and "your ticket has been sent to out specialists and is now closed" << personal favorite.


I really hope someone from the forum team can forward this thread to your developers.. as you can see its a hot button (pardon the pun) issue.

waiting for many weeks now to see any improvement.... none whatsoever. game is lagging like i've never seen before. i never had this issue while playing stormfall for over 2 years, not on the 1st server, not on the second. here it's a mess from day one. PLARIUM GET YOUR S.HIT TOGETHER! not paying 1 single cent until this game runs properly!

I agree with Blas, on the account about the Lag coming and going.

There has been times when I was really able to move freely anywhere (on the map) for example.



However, due to my personal life, I really don't do much except the "basics" of Everyday Stuff...more so because doing anything Extra just becomes frusterating...and it makes me NOT want to do anything on Nords.

I WISH Nords was as "PERFECT" as the Phone version (but I'm sure that has something to do with different servers or something)....

Anyway, the complaints about these lag issues has been on going for (as far as I Feel) for over 4 Months..with the same complaints.



It's really sad...I do hope Plarium can do Something about it...there is only so much "Consumers" are willing to DO on a game like this before they....
