If you satisfy the requirement for upgrading the fortress for a level once even if it is downgraded you can still move it back to the level without having to attack again. Tested and confirmed.

To upgrade a fortress from 11 to 12, does the beacon have to be held for duration of upgrade or does it only have to be captured at time of fortress upgrade?

OK I know I am late to the conversation but I have a question about upgrading

when I upgrade from lvl 5 to 6  can I hit my lvl 6 downgrade WHILE my upgrade is in progress or do I have to wait until its fully processed to lvl 6 before I can do my lvl 6 downgrade?

You need to meet the requirements to upgrade your fortress to the next level - I would assume that this means your upgrade needs to be complete before proceeding to the next level requirements

http://prntscr.com/evf76n  you will have 24 hours protection after starting your upgrade

you can boost the fortress upgrade to meet the requirements if you want to move on to the next level requirements quickly - if you are moving from level 5 to 8 and want to boost level 6 and 7 upgrades to get to level 8 where you won't have to defend the fort then it will cost you less than 10k saphs

I downgraded a fort from 14 to 13. I waited to downgrade it again in 24 hrs. I attacked the same fort again in 24 hrs and 3 min but report said, the fort wasn't downgraded!!! Why??? 

There is info in this post that fortress is under protection for 24 hrs and it can't be downgraded again for some time. How long is that time frame? When can I downgrade it again?

u are right. you have to wait 24 hours to donwgrade it again. other question is: did u won the battle ??

if you won and the protection time was over and u didnt donwgrade it, please report it on bugs report section to be investigated by support agent.

Yes, I won. The enemy didn't even defend. But they had managed to upgrade it to lvl 14 again by the time my hit landed.

I am trying to move my League Fortress - it has units in it, and it is being upgraded ...

The game acts as if I am moving it ... but when I check, I still have the fortress move option available in my Black market, and the fortress just sits at it's present location???

Anything I am missing?
