Agreed, they're useless. The only people that farm them are noobs who know nothing about the game and then these poor noobs get hit by experienced players when a global / enemy hit event starts.

The whole Gold Mine / Mining aspect is a relic unless you are going to put some really good rewards there, not just a few pieces of gold.

agreed, with new CVC dynamic, a bigger resource tile or more resource tiles would be welcome.  Gold is a joke for a hard fought KVK.

The Gold of the Gods is SUPPOSED to be a reward ... but like I said they are no reward ... they just take up space that would usually have rss spots so we then have much less rss places as a "reward" ... :(

So, here is an idea to update gold mining and make it rewarding.

Multiply the gold in each tile by 100 - so lvl 1 Gold Fields have 1,000 etc. Same for Gold of the Gods so lvl 6 would be 100,000 gold.

Increase gold mining speed to about 1/4 of Silver.

Add the uber only gems as the rewards if you clear a tile. I'm not talking about big generosity here but if I could get 1 simple Aquamarine or Euclase or other uber only gem every time I took out a lvl 1 Gold Field I'd be way more interested. You could make it 2 for a lvl 2, 3 for lvl 3, 1 usual for lvl 4, 2 usual for lvl 5, 3 usual for lvl 6. Then do the same for Gold of the Gods but with Unusual and Rare uber only gems.  

Agreed.  Gold mining is currently useless in the game so it is not worth doing.  Something should be done to improve gold mining to encourage players to participate in this activity.

That's very true, but compared to what you an 'earn' regularly from playing the game now, or when it was first proposed, which may not been the first time it was suggested, or even much earlier in the games history,you can farm very little gold even if you have all the boosters working in your favour to make it worth while. Though some  still do.
