We've made a table for you where you can check all the information about bonuses from the Aesir's blessings and patronage, their Elements, and advantages in the War of the Aesir. This table will be useful not only for newbies, but for experienced Jarls as well.

Vár and Skadi are my primaries. Problem is of course that both is for gold only. I'm sorry to say Cav sucks but too late to change that now :P
Vidar is a close second on which ones to summon. That one is RSS, which I'm not sure about. Think it is good. As for other troop types it is some times a question about what troops enemy has. Cav vs Melee for example can be a hard one. But, when it comes to scouts, it is scouts against scouts no matter what. This way having it as an RSS Æsir gives a more even playing-field I guess.

Honir, Forseti and magni are the best Aesir for fighting with as they temporarily increase either Health, Offense or Defense by 60% for all troop types whereas the other Aesirs only temporarily increase one troop types Defense or offense by 50% and all three can be upgraded with soul shards so it's a win win.Vár and Skadi are my primaries. Is there a point to leveling up my aesir building if there’s no extra bonuses if I’ve already maxed out my aesirI would guess that they will make more available later and you'll need an upgraded building. I wouldn't make it a priority.
Mimir is now the best Aesir for figting with now, She has Permanent Total Defense of 80% and temporary Total Health of 75%, 25% extra number of troops on a march and 20% offense during an onslaught. For Soul Shards as well.

I was very disappointed. Table is not complete because it not complete stupid requirements of level of Aesir house that required high level of castle.
For example, in some cases it requires 23 lvl of Aesir builditg that requires 27 lvl of castle. Nonsense.
Table shows pure unjust!
Melee is the only class that is got two gods with +melee Defense and melee Health, which means superiority in Defense situations whether it is a town, tower or stronghold.
No other Class have the same combination for the class, except Scout, which is not really and main class.
