It's probably that you have changed your Shaman.

Maybe, but shouln't it return to normal when the Shaman is changed back?

Changing shaman has no effect on influence.

There are numbers of ways that influence can go up while you are off line but, losing troops being excluded, I am at a loss as to how influence could go down.

What you might do is to click on your palace before logging off then click on "statistics" and then "influence".  There you will see a breakdown of your current influence.  Note the figures and when you check in see whether any have gone down.

 What you reported is an old situation that am familiar with ,and  there's probably old posts about  it still to be found here.  

After my inital response I had thought to edit my post, but I hesitated because it appears that the forum is currently over zealous  and prone to detecting spam  when there is really none, so I decided to wait.

 Irrespective of what John wrote, I had the intention of answering  you, with what my edit was going to include.

Which is,perhaps you haven't noticed  the change is its because its connected to refreshing the game. 

If you change and don't refresh nothings going to happen so you won't see the change. Then later you may, and hence the confusion.

I have just confirmed this, you can try it yourself if you like. 

As to John, I would suggest that his 'it doesnt happen isn't correct'.

The reason he doesn't notice this, is probably because all his Shaman are equally developed, so have the same influence to add to the total influence.

I also just confirmed this myself.

Shaman at the same level have the same influence.

Shaman at higher or lower levels have corresponding values.

Yes changing shaman CAN change one's influence ... xyz has explained how this happens.

How do you refresh the game?

Ist way is using the same way for any webpage.A clickable link,which can be in various forms,is found at the top of the page on the extreme left,next to the  two arrows. It may say 'reload current page(Ctrl+R)' when pointed to.

2nd  log out and log back in.

3rd when they reload the game at the end of the day ,there is a link ,which tells you ,this might be where you get your question from, it's something I seldom use, I think you just click it.

I can understand your concern and frustation  and your comment.

Unfortunately the system does not currently work like that.

It appears that the tech team do not read what is written here, so unless you put in a ticket  they will not know about it.

I think that the only time that writing about something here gets direcctly forwarded is when lots of people complain about the same issue.

Sometimes the problem is simple and within his remit to answer here.

Most of the time Ivar will write that you have to put in a ticket as he did to your complaint.
