I had exactly the same error in Firefox 74.0.
By default, Firefox 74.0 disabled support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols and this broke the Vikings game.

Here is how to fix it in Firefox 74.0
1) In Firefox open new tab and type: about:config
2) Search for: security.tls.version.min
3) Change the value from 3 to 1.

5) If you still cannot load the game, press Ctrl+F5 to restart the game.

Game still not loading in FireFox.
The "security.tls.version.min" is already set to 1 in my FireFox's about:config. Ctrl + F5 doesn't load the game either (goes to 50% and throws the error)
Game also fails to load in Chrome.
EDIT @ 22:30 GMT, game is loading in FireFox (just updated it), a few glitches here and there. Chrome doesn't load.
