If you have speed ups you are willing to burn train your highest tier troops, promote some of the Aesir, upgrade third, fourth, fifth choice troops in Valkyries, if you have not maxed knowledge some of the Economic advances are rss intensive.

If you do not want to burn speed ups how about sending your troops out as reinforcements or on long marches, drop your shield and announce free beer round at your place on chat.
