to go up in clan leagues you need to increase the clans influience,to increase in your personal leagues you need to increase your palace level,consideration should be given in both instances,as increasing a clans influience just to go up a league is not nessacerialy a good idea if you do it by learning uneeded knowlege or carrying  too many troops,this makes your clan bloated with usless influience  and can make it much harder for you to win cvc's,and increasing your palace level also means the next league you enter has higher requiremant for reaching checkpoints.
