For some time debate has raged over whether you need to be in town to receive the buffs u apply to your troops before they go to OS tile or pop. Do your troop gain the buffs if they are out of town or not? Please would love a Blue to respond to this.

In order to receive the buffs you need to apply them before your troops go on a march otherwise they will not work.

Not true buffs work even when troops are out of town. Some however do have to be applied before, like rss yield speed, march speed and a few others
