I noticed an increase of points to reach the next stages within CVC. After Fury and you have Access to Lev 8 or Lev 9 tiles it makes sense because of the increased points you can score but it´s not good for "normal" CvC conditions. Please Plarium check this again if this change is going to stay because it´s a bit of a killer for smaller clans.

(1) Please take into consideration that the "amount of points" needed to "pass checkpoints" depends on the "League" in which you compete. Also, the higher the League, the more generous the rewards will be;
(2) The distribution across Leagues depends on the Competition type. The selection in Personal Competitions is determined by the level of the player's Town and in the case of Clan and Global ones - by the Clan’s Influence.
Below you can find the criteria of Leagues distribution that are actual at the moment. Please note that the specified criteria may be changed at any moment without notice in order to maintain balance in the game.
Personal Competitions:
- League of Rookies: 1-11 levels of the Palace.
- League of Recruits: 12-17 levels of the Palace.
- League of Warriors: 18-21 levels of the Palace.
- League of Conquerors: 22-24 levels of the Palace.
- League of Masters: 25-27 levels of the Palace.
- League of Odin: 28-31 levels of the Palace.
- League of Asgard: 32-35 levels of the Palace.
Clan Competitions, the Kingdoms Battle, the Kingdoms Battle: Revenge, Kingdoms Battle: Fury:
- League of Rookies: 0 - 5 000 000 of Influence points.
- League of Recruits: 5 000 001 - 50 000 000 of Influence points.
- League of Warriors: 50 000 001 - 1 000 000 000 of Influence points.
- League of Conquerors: 1 000 000 001 - 5 000 000 000 of Influence points.
- League of Masters: 5 000 000 001 - 15 000 000 000 of Influence points.
- League of Odin: 15 000 000 001 - 1 000 000 000 000 of Influence points.

The Clans Battle Competition:
- League of Rookies: 5 000 000 - 25 000 000 Influence points.

Since you cannot degrade buildings you cannot change your Personal League as you are assigned in one based on your Palace building. In Clan Competitions, if the Clan Influence is lower the Clan will be in a different League.
(3) Please note that the resources given for winning the Clans Battle competition vary based on the Leagues the Clans are placed. Clans in the "League of Asgard" receive the maximum amount of resources, the Clans in other Leagues receive fewer resources. Please read below for the amount of resource rewarded in each League:
League of Asgard → 10B of each resource
League of Odin → 400m of each resource
League of Masters → 200m of each resource
League of Conquerors → 100m of each resource
League of Warriors → 75m of each resource
League of Recruits → 50m of each resource
League of Rookies → 25m of each resource

Thank you Lisa for this excellent information. But i knew this already. Our clan has always been in Odin Leageue for a while. The mentioned change in the checkpoints is the result of the "Fury Event". I try to explain our situation more clearly.
1. We are a medium sized clan with 32 Members but all active.
2.We have some paying players and some non-paying players. Some big influence some smaller.
For us it is the main goal to have a good competition and we put very much effort in it to be a good oponent. If we loose it´s not a shame because we did our best.
Before Fury Event we reached maybe Checkpoint 4 in Odin League and this results in a big cheer within the clan. Now they canceld 1 Checkpoint completely so you end up with luckily reaching cehckpoint 3 or "only" 2. Thats very bad for the spirit.
As I already mentioned i am not crying because of loosing but i want to see a good reward for our efforts as a team.
Please Plarium rechange this because it´s getting frustrating. You are discouraging medium-sized players with that.

a little update of the clan leagues

because did not understand why i was in rookie clan
in your case, either they did not respect, the new rules of plarium and joined just before the announce?
or they missed opponents and put you an alea opponent? last case possible, towns grow very fast the day before the annnounce
