Unlike constructing/upgrading buildings, I do not believe that there is currently any way to research/upgrade more than 1 technology at any given moment.

However, it is possible to boost the progress of the technology currently being researched/upgraded.

Slightly unrelated, but I also believe that there would then also be an item with a similar function for champion equipment upgrading/destroying.

That is correct, it can only be obtained through purchasing packages.  There is no way to buy it with crystals.  Also keep in mind that it only lasts 7 days.

I'm not the one who controls the economy, but you're able to progress throughout the game and use its core mechanics without spending anything; Spending only allows you to do that faster.

It's advertised as free to play, and you can play for free.  However, as a free player you won't be able to win against paying players who also know how to play the game right. 

I'm sure Biohazard didn't mean to discourage non paying players :) I am sure he meant - it is an ADVANTAGE to spend money in the game and also, one needs to know how to USE the features of the game. "Play the game right" . These combined will definitely make you much stronger player faster. The game needs to be developed and maintained all the time. I imagine it is a big operation and requires big team. It is normal to need money too as any other business. (Just thinking out loud) :) Happy gaming

Thanks guys I understand. I am scared of a pay to win games cause in the past I spend quite some money at some other so called free to play online games. And just when I started to enjoy the game suddenly the host pulled the plug. With a message like "All players will receive a gift if they start playing any of our other games and we will not refund any money you bought items" I was playing that game for about 4 months and they just enounced this is the last week.

We all hope nothing like this will happen here. This game has many supporters and has been going for years. 

It is a personal choice to spend money or not. 

If you do - thinks happen faster and you'll become soon one of the big boys...:P 

If not - learn the game properly, play cleverly and equip yourself with a lot of patience. You can still make many friends here and  have fun . It is about fun, right ? ..:))))

What do I buy or upgrade to be able to upgrade 2 technologies at the same time?

Easy way to find whether "7day ScrapBot" or "7day Researcher" is available in the black market or not is to:

ScrapBot: Right above the head of your HERO, you'll see a "Buy Scrap bot", brownish icon. click and it should lead you to the right offer available in the market page/pop up.

Extra researcher: If you open your Tech research page, at the mid extreme right, you should be able to see a Glowing Blue icon with +1 researcher. click and it'll walk you through your temptation to punch in card details, if not saved already. :-D
