This is the Battle on the Isles!
Lords, find out everything you need to know about the new Tournament!
The Battle on the Isles is an epic Tournament that is held between Orders. In this Tournament, Lords will have to destroy and defend new Castles – Forts. The Order that earns the most points for destroying Forts wins.
A new location
The Tournament takes place on the Royal Isles. This is a separate mini-Kingdom with Forts, where the battles take place.
You can relocate to this new location by using the Journey to the Isles item.
To relocate to the Royal Isles, the following conditions must be met:
- Your account was created more than 30 days ago
- You are the member of an Order that is participating in the Battle on the Isles
- Your Palace is level 21 or higher
- You don't have any active marches or troops in garrisons
- The Tournament is active and more than 5 minutes are left until it ends
The Tournament process
Applying and selecting a time
After the Tournament has been announced, players receive a push notification that the registration period has started. To enable your Order to take part in the Battle on the Isles, the Order Master or a Counselor must submit an application.
The following conditions must also be met:
- Your Order must have been created at least 30 minutes before the Tournament was announced
- Your Order must have 250,000,000,000 Power points or more
- Your Kingdom must be at least 30 days old
To submit an application, you need to select a convenient time period to fight in the Battle on the Isles. The number of places for each time period is restricted: the application form window displays the number of Orders that have chosen a particular time.
The choice can only be made once per Tournament and cannot be changed.
After the Order Master or a Counselor has submitted an application, all Order members receive a system message.
Assigning opponents
When the application period is over, the process of assigning opponents begins.
In the Battle on the Isles, participating Orders are divided into special Leagues. If an Order is taking part in the Tournament for the first time, it will be in the lowest Isles League. After each Battle on the Isles, the points are counted up and the winning Orders are promoted to the next Isles League, while those that lost are demoted to the one below.
During the first Battle on the Isles Tournament, all Orders will be in the same Isles League.
Opposing Orders are matched up within their Isles League according to their Power. Once an opponent has been assigned, you can view it in the Tournament window.
Start
The Tournament lasts 21 hours and includes the following periods:
- Waiting – the time before battles start and the time after they have ended
- Battles – the period of time that the Order chose when applying
Battles
During the battle period, Orders are given time to prepare. After that, one Order starts defending the Forts while the opposing Order attacks them. Then, after a break, the Orders change sides and fight for the Forts again. The roles are assigned at random and change after every phase.
Scoring points
There are two types of tasks for which Orders receive points:
- Destroying Forts (to earn points in the Battle on the Isles)
- Killing any enemy troops on the Royal Isles (to earn points for personal and Order achievements)
Forts
Forts are Castles on the Royal Isles. They contain resources and neutral troops – Isle Guards.
Each Fort is surrounded by the Misty Woods. Your Town can't be situated in these Woods and have an active Inaccessibility at the same time. You can, however, use Inaccessibility on the five central islands of the Kingdom.
Three Forts are given to each Order on the Royal Isles. During battles, the Order that is defending a Fort can send reinforcements and set traps there. You can attack your opponents' Forts, as well as send a Raid or espionage there.
You can only interact with Forts that belong to your Order or to your rivals. You cannot perform any actions with Castles that belong to Orders that are not your opponents.
In the next phase, the level of the Forts changes, but their location remains the same.
You can interact with Forts in various ways in each phase of the Tournament:
- The waiting period: you can only view information about a Castle.
- Preparation for an attack: during this period, an Order cannot perform any actions in Forts, just as during the waiting period.
- Preparation for defense: Inaccessibility is activated in all Forts, and your Order members can send reinforcements to the Castles that belong to your Order (and the Master and Counselors can also set traps there).
- Assault period: Forts become vulnerable to attack, Raids, or espionage. The defending Order members can still send reinforcements to their Castles and set traps there.
A Fort can have one of two statuses: intact and destroyed. If a Castle is successfully attacked at least once, it catches fire. The defending Order cannot send reinforcements to a burning Castle.
The attacking Order can still send troops to a Fort that has been destroyed until the remaining resources run out. After that, it is not possible to attack the Fort or send Raids to it.
Traps
The Order Master or Counselors can enhance the defenses of the Forts by using traps that provide bonuses against various troop types. Each trap can only be set once per event.
To craft and upgrade traps, you need to construct the Trap Workshop in the Order Citadel. You can start an upgrade process in the Trap Workshop at the same time as conducting Studies in the Scholars' Hall.
The Trap Workshop can be built from Citadel level 1 and can be upgraded by using the Glittering Dust item. This item is also required in order to activate traps in a Fort.
The end of the Tournament
When the battles are over, the waiting period for the end of the Battle on the Isles starts.
After the points have been calculated, the winner is revealed. The Order that earns the most points for destroying Forts wins. If the score is tied, the Order that earns the most points for killing warriors wins.
Rewards for the winners
In addition to trophies for personal achievements, all Lords from the winning Order receive military bonuses. These depend on the Isles League in which the Order was placed during the Tournament, and are active for seven days.
