Can you post screenshots?

When I click on hero, there are the 2 numbers over skills:  175 in blue and 31 in red/orange. Hero is level 49.

Sorry - no can do screen shot at this stage, but will work on that skill!

What platform are you running on? Phone, browser, windows, Linux ? [So can give hint for easiest screenshots.]

What happens when you click in the middle of the circle?

Myself, I get:

You should see Skill points 175, and 175 in Main, and 31 in Against Assailants.

Strangely, I don't see anything in that FAQ ( http://support-portal.plarium.com/en/throne-web/faq/ ) that shows assigning skill points.

If you click on 'Against Assailants', and then 'Assailant Deterrence', you should be able to raise it to the max. (10), if not already at 10.

Then Stamina Economy, then Hero's Fury ...

Really easy screenshots: Use Snipping Tool to capture screenshots ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots )

and Discord ( https://discordapp.com/ ) makes it easy to paste the captured square in an image to yourself - which you can then right-click to get an URL.Then click the image icon when you compose, paste the URL, and Betty's your Aunt. [It's -much- simpler than even that sounds.]
