I have no reason to believe an extended boost isn't effective.

I have no reason to believe a reestablished boost is effective. It is a good question.

I have seen, for example, a march boost effective through a march, even though it expired along the way - however, the return was slower, due to the boost having expired.

It is a very good question. e.g. Suppose you're reinforcing someone ... then summon a Cardinal ...

This would be a good question to pose to Menu / Help.
