The points would have counted.

Note that a bevy of point accomplishments can only be calculated upon event conclusion. e.g. Since OvO end triggers an automatic return from tiles, and return to home kingdom, the points from the yielding aren't known then.

If you won your OvO, when you see the you won message, point calculation should be complete and you can go back into the event to see them.

During the event, the actual points achieved almost never matches the points displayed. It seems the point totals are only updated periodically, perhaps only every 10 or more minutes. Give it a while, during the event, and you will see the points accomplished reflected.

In the mean time, the point total under 'Total Points' vs the point total under 'Your Order ... Enemy Order' does seem to be continuously updated and current. So go by that number when you're looking at things. e.g. When the order crosses a checkpoint, the corresponding message seems to go out immediately, and the total points and checkpoint slider reflect that. The numbers shown on the Allies tab also seems to be kept current.

However, the numbers under Orders / Tournament Statics, seem to be on the same delay cycle as above.

WWO, all your statements are correct. But as usual with Plarium ... unspoken and non confirmed bug happens. 

I have experienced exactly the same issue with planning a study to finish 15min before the end of the event (no yielding returning here at hand). it also happens that i have screen shot around 1h from the end a burning town where on the screen you clearly see 'remaining time of event" approx 59min and my study running for 44min... and i went sleeping. Big surprise the next morning (EU time, Ovo ends at 1AM), my power went up with the study but the score did not comprise the 450m x 5 points that it should have increased our score in between the last update and the final calculation. 

Sadly, even with those screens Plarium did nothing to remediate their mistake. and some. Somehow luckily for my order, we heavily lost so the approx. 2b+ points that the study at stake should have given would have not impacted the final result. 

This being said, i have not experienced any recurrence of such incidents (and no one want to test his luck in this way :) ) ; my sole conclusion would have been that it was linked to not being online (other games do that for training troops for instance. It remains though a pity given the level of investment of certain player to not even acknowledge a clearly underlied incident.
