Lords, the Free Infirmary feature only works when your troops die defending your own castle.

It is my understanding that troops stationed behind are protected from being killed (in the Acropolis I believe it is called). That being said, I guess if you want any benefit from upgrading your healer (as I have) you have to forgo the safety of the acropolis and leave troops free to intentionally be lost in order to save some? Other games similar to this one do not have this crazy twist to the revive option. This, coupled with the inability to get too far without spending a lot of real money, is about to chase this newbie player out the door...
In all Plarium games infirmary works as listed above. So it's not smth unusual.
But yes, new player can be frightened with such mechanics.
