That discipline right here is responsible for your Bonus cause it reduces grain consumption by 5%.
It says the same to me.
That is actually pretty useful when you have a huuuuuuuge army cause it decreases grain comsumption.
So it's not a bad thing it's actually very useful but its' use won't be seen by you soon. Not until you build much army.
It is permanent therefore you can't get rid of it! But don't worry!
It will be useful one day sooner or later.

I understand the value of consumption reductions.. they help us little guys too, when trying to support, e.g., 1500 units instead of 1000. :)

I guess it would help if the 'discipline' entry said it was a reduction of consumption, not production, since other bonuses shown there are production bonuses.
Well yeah they help everyone but someone with bigger army has more reduction than me for example. So it's even better for those players!
The description on the grain leads you to the capital where if you click on the discipline it actually says it.
