GPs are non-existent. NOT ONE of ANY of the tournaments in the last 2 weeks has had them in the rewards column. You can't by the dam things and you can't build the larger units without them.
As I have stated in another thread, a couple of years ago in other versions (Pirates, Stormfall, etc.) the Big tournament would roll around every couple of weeks and players built to that tournament and the payouts included Champion and GP-equivalent rewards. The players actually looked forward to those tournaments.
Now all Plarium does is cater to the big Coiners and to the devil with everyone else.
Mods, don't waste your Company-shill line on me about how we have to work hard to achieve certain things. All the players know it's total BS.Well in case you forgot we are players too...Can't really say I feel you cause I'm playing from the beginning of the game when GP's were much easier to get!GPs are non-existent. "beginning of the game when GP's were much easier to get! " Which is EXACTLY my point!
Xena.... I haven't forgotten who you are, but the stance you all take on certain things definitely doesn't come across as player-friendly. In fact it's more of an adversarial role, as if we don't understand what we're talking about.
I, too, started Soldiers from the beginning and that one has gone to he!!-in-a-handbasket for the newer players trying to improve. Granted I started late here at Sparta but they all work under the same format. So save the "game balance", "be patient", work harder", "give it time", "they're working on improvements" speech.

Our game has a certain dynamic that was planned by the developers. It means that each game feature was designed to take a certain period of time to upgrade. It gives players an opportunity to get acquainted with the in-game content step-by-step and imitates real City development, which requires Resources and, once again, time. There is no arguing that it is hard to gain Glory Points, but since they give players certain advantages, they should be hard to get.

i do understand how new players find it unfair when they hear that it was so much easier to gain them in the past..
im sure you should understand that alyona.Alyona Kolomiitseva said:
Nice .... A quote straight out of the Company handbook. You remind me of a Mod we had over on Pirates named Devili. In her world the players didn't have a clue on how to play the game and then took offense when she was called a Company-shill. If you don't want to be called a shill, quit acting like one.FlyinTiger said:

Dynamic my butt. Are you referring to the time when Plarium tripled the build time and doubled the cost to do a building upgrade and it had players so teed off that many quit?
So what you're saying is, the newer players don't mean as much as those that have been around a while and shouldn't be given the same advantages? New players/customers are the lifeblood of ANY business venture and the only planning the devs do seems intent on sucking the blood out of every current Coiner that remains.
I didn't say that. I said that all players need time to develop their Cities. Or you're suggesting to give new players lvl 20 buildings and Agreements, because there are older players that have already upgraded theirs? :) That wouldn't be fair, don't you think? It doesn't matter when players joined the game, they should have the same opportunities, and they all should be treated equally. So what you're saying is, the newer players don't mean as much as those that have been around a while and shouldn't be given the same advantages?

First, to make a statement like that is asinine. That was never my suggestion and you damn well know it.
Your second statement supports my contention that the newer players have been penalized, know matter how you try to spin it. Coming in two years ago or yesterday, unless you have a bottomless Credit Card, all players should have the same advantages when it comes to accessing and building the bigger units. Instead, Plarium saw another cash cow and said "Screw'em".

Again, don't speak to us of "dynamics" or "balance" because the scales have very obviously been tipped in the Coiner's favor.
You see it only as black and white. But actually the situation is more complex. It's true that new players cannot build high-level Units from the start of their game. But it's fair. They need to grow first, they need to develop their Cities, "upgrade" their Units, make some efforts to start building better Units.
Older players have already passed through this. Time is their only advantage. And newer players will also need time to reach their level. It's a fair game.
Imagine if all players were equal. I mean actually equal. They enter the game, all buildings and Agreements are maxed. They just need to raid and build, day after day. I can say that such game would be boring. Because there would be no development. It would be just repetitive actions without any visible changes, without any achievements and goals.Oy vey! You're still missing the point! Are you really this dense?
I AM NOT saying that everyone should have "maxed out" buildings and upgrades as you seem to think. What I am saying is that ... the newer players have been put at a distinct disadvantage of working towards those rewards that the older players enjoyed when they first started here.
