Many thanks to Dragiša Planinčević for this excellent equipment directory, Apart from being extremely detailed, well on the way to exhaustive, it has immediately addressed two questions and assumptions of mine:

• There exists multiple high-level equipment (rare, legendary) that covers all unit types (light, heavy, ...)
  
  
• Also, I had the nagging feeling that identical equipment items, let us say the "Nemean Shield", was available with differing bonuses, similar to finding used equipment in some MMORPG's of varying quality, but this list disproves that,

Now for the tough decision: when to use pieces to upgrade equipment and when to save them for that one legendary piece that might come along.

PENGUIN Your feeling is correct, there are INDEED items with small bonus differences at the final upgrading.

As Elias mentioned, do we know aprox the range of levels where the different ones apear? at least levels for only lights, lights and heavy, light, heavy and phalanx, etc

I can only tell you that the higher the level of PP, the higher the chance to get a better Equipment. But also you risk to get an Item of a level that your General can't wear yet ;)

It is known that up to level 25 only gives light infantry, between 26 and 45 gives light and heavy infantry, from 46 to ... gives light heavy infantry and phalanx. Only reach the moment to level 55.

We do not ask you to tell us exactly what gives in each position and more taking into account that the same object has different power.

We only ask to know from what approximate level of position begins to give objects for cavalry ;)

Perfect, for now I know that at level 61 the objects are for infantry light infantry heavy phalanx and cavalry.

If someday I get something fat I will say but as I do the Persians I lose troops although I do not always lose power (less troops but more powerful). I throw everything and pray;)
