New Building – the Sanctum of Ares

Build it to prepare for the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race!

The Cult of Ares is more important than ever in these troubled times. If you build them a grand Sanctum of Ares in your Elysian City, they will share with you their greatest resource: their Acolytes, peerless warriors from across the world!

The Sanctum of Ares is where the Cult will prepare the rituals and send word to their orders of Acolytes, wherever they might be found. These Acolytes gather during the upcoming new Tournament – the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race. The Sanctum will be necessary to participate. This new building also offers exciting new mechanics to bolster your army; read on to find out what awaits you.

Special Bonuses

In the Info tab, you can upgrade the Building to improve Elysian Unit Training Speed and Cult Agreement Signing Speed.

Cult Agreements

In the Cult Agreements tab, you can sign aid treaties with the orders of Acolytes, who will, in turn, offer you improvements to their number. They use their own Signing queue, which you can access at any time. Keep in mind, however, that you can only Sign or Update one Cult Agreement at a time, and it can only be sped up with Elysian Boosts.

Sacred Positions

You and your Coalition Members can perform ritual combat in these special new Positions during the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race. You can find the Sacred Positions the Cult has shared with you in the Sacred Positions tab! By conquering them, you can recover a valuable new resource: Idols. You can give them to the Cult to win over their loyalty and train their Acolyte Units.

Acolyte Unit Training

You can train Acolyte Units during the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race from the Acolyte Unit Training tab. The Iberian, Paeonian, Medjai, Charioteer, Cyrenian, Megarian, Quadi, and Semnone Acolyte orders will respond to the Cult's summons, but you cannot train all of them as you please. Only some Acolytes arrive in your City at once, and which Acolyte Units you can train will change from Tournament to Tournament. 

More information on the Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race will be available soon, but the requirements you must fulfill to participate are:

- You must be a fully-fledged Coalition Member

- Your Coalition must not be in the process of being dismissed

- You must have discovered your Elysian City

- Your Coalition must have 10 or more fully-fledged Members who have discovered their Elysian Cities

Now, the Cult offers many blessings to those who support them. Forsake them at your peril, Archon, or support them in return for their strength. Prepare for the coming Cult Acolyte Recruitment Race, and build a Sanctum of Ares as soon as possible!
