I am also very interested in hearing more about this. You are not alone as we have many that experience horrible "luck" with the "random" or gambling aspects of the game.
We are unable to figure out what the chances are of finding things from these very expensive items, and some have had an even worse time than you trying to secure grade V guardians.
Please post the results of your efforts with support/bug reports departments.
