It just feels so bug like though.  If an attack fails, there should still be a report, and the guardian should show as returning to the city. It just pops back there and has still used the energy. That doesn't make any sense as far as actual troop movement goes.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's certainly a design flaw if it's not a bug. ;) It's one of those things that you flag in beta testing and go "oh oi, guys ...this doesn't really work."  


Maybe it's something admins wouldn't be against improving?

I arrived at that conclusion, but the mission does not say how, it only says retire and enlighten, they also retire.
