i have removed a few people from friends list and refrished and thay still there 

Commander...try cleaning your browser and clearing your cache...you can do this from your browser bar .(using Chrome ) go to customize and control in upper rt. corner...more tools...clear browsing data...close browser and log back into game....if that does not correct it then contact support and they will access your game to see if they can identify your problem
