It seems like they want new players but I've played since 2019 and nothing for some who has played for years. The worst part is I've spent a lot of money to only get rare champions and duplicates if its anything above a rare. Seriously considering a different game at this point but i have literally years and so much money invested.

That said, I would counter your assertion with the fact that players who have been here for years have had access to countless login legendaries, older promos and gifts during the holidays. The new player promo codes server as an onboarding process to get new players going sooner rather than later which is just a good thing for the game in general.
