 You're saying it's deliberate? That's not animation change that's animation removal. :-) If for some reason you don't want them in a fighting stance at least get their weapons moving again because right now all they do is stand there rigid and lifeless. The only compelling reason to play this game is for the art, it should be getting better not worse.
