OK this is one of the buggiest games I have ever played.

I've had your buggy dumpster fire delete FOUR ARTIFACTS JUST TONIGHT.

Wanna know how to auto-delete an artifact from your inventory?  It's easy!!!  Try to upgrade without enough money, then SELL other items to raise money. The first item you sell will delete the one you could not afford to upgrade.

In fact SELLING artifacts from your inventory is a FANTASTIC WAY to delete other unrelated VERY HIGH LEVEL RARE ITEMS. I am ABSOLUTELY SICK OF THIS!!!

You can also AUTO DELETE an item by trying to equip it and not having enough money. After clicking OK then it might auto delete, if not try to sell something else to raise money and it will delete for sure.

Also sometimes I sell an entire pile of gear and when I X back to main screen I have received none of the gold, but the gear is still gone.
